We've been here twice now and the food has always impressed. The steak tartar is the best I've had out here, the venison done perfectly seared and tender. The cocktails and cocktails are lovely. And the service is friendly, helpful and accommodating. My only note is that the coffee could be better. Maybe try a local roaster or bean. It was a bit disappointing to end such a lovely meal with sub par coffee. Our friends had caffeinated cappucinos but the coffee wasn't great. And we also always look for a good decaf cappucino. That being said we are kind of coffee snobs so not everyone will feel this way. In any case we will definitely be back again.

The Yardbird is hands down my favourite spot to dine out in Bowmanville. The atmosphere is vibey, cozy, and welcoming — the kind of place you just want to hang out in. The playlist is always on point! Their cocktails? Next level. Seriously some of the best I’ve had, and crafted in house with care. And the food? Phenomenal. Every dish I’ve tried has been full of flavour and beautifully presented. You can tell they put their heart into every detail. Whether it’s a casual night out or something special, The Yardbird never disappoints. It's a true local gem!

The place is cozy and charming and has an intimate atmosphere. The owners are often there and interact with the customers giving it a feeling of it being more than just a restaurant, but homey destination. The service is top notch and they always make sure you are happy and satisfied. The best part of course is the food—delicious and well presented. It’s by far the best restaurant in the area and a must visit in Bowmanville!
