It's perfect for what it is - really well executed modern bistro food. We're lucky to have this in Bowmanville. Surpringly for me, the highlight was the dessert.

Had the Salmon burger on multigrain. They need to either shred the coleslaw or leave it out. The sandwich just falls apart when your trying to eat it. Maybe try a different bread or bun. Also the salmon burger has no flavour. The best part of the meal was the beet dip appetizer.

My husband and I experienced the yardbird last night and it was phenomenal! I am all about atmosphere and the ambiance was right up my alley-welcoming, dim lighting, relaxing and had a bit of an eclectic feel. The music was exceptional! Great vibes all around. And of course, the food! The menu was incredible and everything we ordered was flavourful and cooked to perfection!! I can’t express how delicious everything was! The service was prompt and we had the privilege of meeting the owner. To have this restaurant in the heart of Bowmanville is a true gift and our new favourite spot. Give it a try, it’s a gem and you won’t regret it!!

Parking: It all depends when you go to dine. My niece gave me a ride as I was interested in the cocktails as it was my first time there. This is a great place for dining as the owner and staff were so attentive and charming. I will definitely return because there is so much on offer to try. I had the Cornish Hen, my friend a more vegetarian mix. I had the most delicious Crême Brulée which was so tasty and so good!

Went here for lunch for the first time yesterday with some family. My elderly grandparents with limited mobility joined us, and I could not have been more impressed with how our server (who I believe may have been the owner/manager?) treated them. As soon as we pulled up to the curb by the front door, the gentleman came out to assist them up the couple steps, helping to lift their walkers and making sure they were safe and cared for. The food and service inside was of course great also, but that wouldn’t even have really mattered to me had it not been. Humanity comes first, and our experience here was as heartwarming as they come. Thank you, yardbird! We will be back!
