This is truly a hidden gem in Bowmanville, plus they change the menu monthly! The food was AMAZING and the service was even better. Nice crowd and available parking.

My wife and I have gone numerous times and ave brought many friends and family members because we enjoy it so much. Everything we have eaten there has been amazing and we are never disappointed with the service or atmosphere. The venue is small but they are constantly changing it which always keeps the menu appealing. If I had 1 criticism which is minute and not the restaurants vision, but I am not overly a fan of craft drinks or cocktails and would be nice to have some common beer brands and setzers. Still more than 5 stars deserving.

Took the wife to 36 Kitchen on Saturday night and we were super impressed with the service, the ambiance, and the food. The calamari was the best I've had in a long time. The unique bruschetta was amazing. I had the smashed burger, and even as I am entering this review I am wanting to go back for another. The grilled Caesar was... perfect. Upon leaving we both agreed to head back soon, and more frequently. Thank you 36 Kitchen for a most memorable evening.

Food is good. Short rib is huge, served with polenta which was fantastic. Chicken Alfredo is good but lacked some flavour. Service was good and pleasant. Only draw back is that these was no complimentary desert (or bread etc.,) which is something that many restaurants do when you are celebrating. For the price of the meals here it would be a plus. This is not a chain restaurant so I understand there may be certain restraints. For this reason, I wouldn’t return if I was celebrating, but, I would go back to try the date night menu.

Came here for my husband's birthday last night and it was such a nice experience! They had the date night special on where you get an appetizer and dessert to share and each get to choose a main course. We got the calamari as our starter and it was really good, flavourful and crispy. I got the bison sausage and shrimp pasta, it was so tasty and the tomato sauce it was in was delicious as well. My husband got the schnitzel sandwich which he really enjoyed. We got the peach crumble for dessert and it was SO yummy. It was tart and also sweet as well. Our server was so nice and friendly as well. Would defintely come back.
Update Aug 28 2025 I called at around 5 yesterday on the off chance we might get a table for dinner and the staff were very accommodating and fit us in at 6. Brandie was very friendly and answered any questions we had about the date night menu. I got the meatloaf and potato cake as my main and my husband got the pulled pork Mac and cheese. Both meals were so good. I tried the bees knees cocktail which was so tasty as well, perfect amount of sweetness and tart. We love coming here.

We went as a group last night and had a wonderful dinner
Place is very nice and clean, small but comfortable, and the staff is very friendly and helpful
Food was really good. I had the meatloaf and whatever they did to the potato was incredible. Even my beets were delicious and you would never ever hear me saying that in the regular world!
Everyone really enjoyed their food and we really appreciate the service
