Had an awesome experience at El Pueblito Mexican Restaurant! My girlfriend and I came in for lunch and everything was fantastic from start to finish. The food was incredible — fresh, flavorful, and some of the best tacos and Mexican dishes we’ve had in a long time.
A big shoutout to our server Jenny who made the whole experience even better. She was super friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Great service like that really makes a place stand out.
Between the amazing food, great atmosphere, and Jenny’s excellent service, we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re craving great Mexican food.

Just had an amazing date night with my partner. Sherry our server was absolutely amazing and was busting her butt making sure us and everyone else got their food and drinks in a timely fashion. Drinks and good were amazing and I left feeling stuffed and feeling great from the vibes. 10/10 would recommend!!

El Pueblito in Bracebridge is a really nice spot with a great atmosphere. The environment is welcoming and comfortable, making it a good place to relax and enjoy a meal. The portions are generous, so you definitely get good value for the price.
The food itself was average — not bad, but not particularly memorable either. Still, the quantity and the overall vibe make it worth visiting.
Overall, a pleasant experience and a solid option if you’re in the area.

Sat on the patio. We had one server who was ok, prob 30 years old, didn’t tell us her name, took our orders, to which I found out they took the best thing off the menu - carne asada beef.
Then, without notice, got a different server. You’re supposed to tell the table you’re changing servers. Then I would have had another drink but she waited too long to come back and ask me if I wanted another.
I got a salad, some beef thing with a completely tasteless and watered down sauce that was not salted at all (please chef if you’re reading this, you need to taste your sauce before serving.)
The chips and guacamole were good.
Anyway it came to $100. Was nice on the patio but honestly wouldn’t come back unless they publicly announce they’re bringing back the carna asada.
OH - and - one time I came, they had an amazing hot sauce. This time, I asked for the hot sauce, and it’s made in house - but it was not spicy at all. Big let down.
Please fix all of these things. Nice to see a restaurant in town other than the chain ones.
Thanks. Buenos Dias.

Try the Main St. Delicatessen across the street. See the difference and make your own judgement.
El Peublito was an absolute disaster of service and a serious food safety concern. We waited 45 minutes for 3 Carne Asada Burritos and 1 Crispy Chicken Flautas only to receive the wrong food, which contained a severe allergen (beans) we had specifically warned them about. When we pointed out the mistakes, the female server was argumentative, blamed us, and later brought more of the allergen. We tried to get the order corrected 4x. The server refused. I have never witnessed this before.
Beyond the unsafe mistakes, the service was disorganized and rude, including being told to wait when trying to order. Highly inattentive and dismissive. Avoid this location. This is unfortunate as we have been coming to this location for many years and the family owner was very friendly and food (previously was tremendous).
The new staff was beyond bad. Seriously a bad hire. No reason to dismiss folks and insist on forcing the product. Not recommended. The prices listed on the website and on google are not current and are at least 25% more expensive. The cost for four folks to eat hear without beverages (alcoholic or not) is more than $100. When the staff argues with you and makes it uncomfortable to order and eat a decent meal you make a decision to cut and run. I asked some of the other patrons if they were happy. They were equally frustrated having to serve their own water, waiting 15-20 min for cold mediocre coffee (I will take them at their word as I could not get to order a beer or coffee).
The server was that un-attentive.
When we requested the bill the server it took 10min to delete the product that was sent back due to the food allergy. Bill came to over $100. Considering there were only three tables being served it was clear she had not clue what she was doing.
Pity about El Pueblito it was popular during the summer periods with great ice cream but a different server. I think it may be a bad hire (indicated she was new by 3-4 weeks) but I have been coming here for many years and am appalled at the overall decline in food quality and price hikes.
In the past the patio was popular and the mexican cocktails (Margaritas) and take out ice cream were fantastic. Since the pandemic hurt their business El Pueblito never recovered. More is the pity. AVOID AVOID AVOID. NOT WORTH THE HEADACHES.

My wife and I took our son and his girlfriend and a friend for a late dinner. Another great time and amazing food at our favorite restaurant in Bracebridge. Melanie and Sherry a couple of their newest staff members were fantastic and a great addition to a great restaurant. Highly recommend
