We stopped here late and hungry. I didn’t enjoy this place. I ordered tacos and they came out cold, bland and sloppy. . My whiskey sour tasted like it came from a can.
On the plus side, they were able to accommodate a larger group without reservation and without the wait on Friday evening (additional fees added and we weren’t seated together).
Overall, it missed the mark for me. I wouldn’t go back.

We had a late lunch. Food came out quickly and was tasty. The roasted tomatoes served with rye bread and cheese was amazing. The sandwich was great also!

Just popping in to leave a five-star review after an exceptional experience last night. My wife and I came in for a late dinner and were genuinely blown away by both the food and the outstanding service from our server, January.
I couldn’t help but notice the review posted by Prakriti Rao from the same evening. We were in the restaurant at the same time as that group, and to be honest, we were shocked. Their behaviour was extremely rude, loud, and disrespectful—both in their language and in the way they spoke to January. Despite this, she remained calm, professional, and patient. Truly impressive work, January.
In that review, Prakriti claimed the servers were being racist. We witnessed the entire situation, and that accusation couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s an unfair and baseless statement that says far more about the reviewer than it does about the staff at The Old Station. Watching January handle them with grace only highlighted how unfounded the claim was.
Please don’t let that negative review influence your decision to dine here. The service, atmosphere, and food are all top-tier, and we’ll absolutely be back.
As for that group: shame on you. Respect goes both ways, and last night made that very clear.

So sad to leave this review. Not what I wanted to do
The food at Old Station was excellent genuinely one of the better meals we’ve had in Muskoka.
However, the service left us extremely uncomfortable. We arrived shortly before closing, and instead of simply letting us know what was still possible or setting expectations, the staff created a tense and openly hostile environment. We felt unwelcome and, honestly, afraid to ask for even basic things like drinks and boxes. We were so excited to come here and drive all the way from Toronto. We called many times so they were aware of us and we worked with them in every way possible. I understand that they had a Santa clause parade which means they had a long day but the rudeness/disrespect is not acceptable
Our bills were over $500, and we would have happily stayed longer and spent more had the atmosphere been even remotely hospitable. A little warmth and professionalism would have gone a very long way as we were looking forward to be there.
The kitchen clearly cares about the dining experience but I hope the GM and employee Jan can match that level of care and respect
To the owners of the restaurant — your servers can be nicer and they can do better!!! Your restaurant deserves employees who don’t have such horrible and negative energy. Don’t let them be racist and treat your patrons inappropriately, especially people who were as excited to support you as we were. We showed up before closing time, coordinated with the front desk as much as we could to create a seamless experience but your front house staffs lack of wanting to host us/negative energy has left a lasting impression on us. The servers and GM seem miserable and the way they treated us shows their character and horrible energy.
If you are from the GTA or not local - please take your money to Muskoka Way. Or any other business in Bracebridge. These people are so mean, so negative and their energy will ruin your vibes.
They don’t deserve our business and until they can be more warm, I don’t think we as a community should supprt such a place. I will continue to share my negative experience until this place fixes their energy and creates a more positive environment…

Another five star experience at the Old Station. January is so on point offering not just service but a complete dining experience. She’s gold. Delicious spinach dip. Steak is as tender and mouthwatering as it always is. Crisp and fresh veggies. This favourite dining spot never fails to impress.
We keep coming back!

I don’t know where this place came from but my oh my. This euro type thing that I had here was absolutely insane. I mean, could you expect something like this to be consumed at a place called old station, I mean, you gotta be absolutely kidding me right?Look, I know this is God’s country and all but who gave permission to chef Bolden in the back to cook up something this good props the whole establishment here I mean, this is state of the art here. I will be back.

So yummy!!! Everything was excellent!!!
This was our first time and we liked it very much, with one caveat.
Sat in the small bar area and were able to hear ourselves talk. (No blaring music, like so many places!) Got drinks quickly. Food also came quickly. I had the lamb, wife had a naan wrap. It was delicious.
The problem came with the crème brûlée. The server said it's usually made with Baileys, but tonight it was plain. My wife loves this dessert, but doesn't drink. Server said she'd checked several times, and definitely no Baileys. Well... guess what. Dessert came with Baileys... as my wife discovered after first bite.
This is the same as giving peanuts to those with allergies or serving meat to a vegetarian. In a restaurant, it's *culinary malpractice* to serve alcohol to those who don't drink. (What if a kid ordered it?!)
Our server was frankly shocked and totally apologetic. I hope that management takes this as seriously. Because in a restaurant kitchen, this sort of thing should never happen again.

Really cute restaurant with a comforting, warm atmosphere. The servers are incredibly polite and welcoming. I ordered the french onion soup and steak. The soup was honestly pretty disappointing, but the steak was great. Really fresh, juicy meat cooked perfectly.

Did take out: staff was friendly but take out was terrible. The mango salsa was basically like a cold soup. So much liquid in it and get hand full of chips. Portion was small. The burger was pretty good but the Mac and cheese was highly disappointing and way too salted. We did take out for reference.
