Visited for the day didn't stay however it's a lovely resort on Lake Muskoka. I highly recommend checking it out in the summer.

Very quick check in, friendly staff, good location and very clean. They only hitch which let us down, was that the outside hot tub was out of order.

Our stay at Touchstone Resort was truly exceptional — the room was immaculate, spacious, and offered breathtaking lake-view views of Lake Muskoka. The resort grounds are peaceful, beautifully maintained, and perfect for a relaxing escape.

The level of service and attention to detail throughout the resort is impressive. It’s clear that management — under Robert McLaughlin and his team — takes guest experience seriously. Everything felt thoughtfully arranged, making our stay smooth, comfortable, and completely stress-free.

From the spa and pool to the private beach and dock, every amenity added to the sense of luxury and tranquility. Overall, Touchstone Resort exceeded our expectations; we enjoyed a wonderful getaway and will definitely be back!

We booked a one night stay and were very happy with the room and the facilities. Our initial room had an issue, but we were upgraded to a bigger one at no charge. The 2 saunas and warm jacuzzi were really great of a cold winter evening. Plenty of parking is available and the location is tranquil and quiet.

We came to celebrate my husband’s birthday with a one-night stay at this resort. From the street entrance to the reception, the place looks lovely. We had the pleasure of meeting Berry at the reception, who gave us a 5 star experience.
We stayed in a lodge above the lake, with an amazing view and a peaceful environment. We had a full kitchen with supplies available for us, a big fridge, and a comfortable, fluffy bed in the bedroom.
During dinner, we were lucky to listen to a very nice jazz band playing at the restaurant. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back soon.

Nice little low key chill spot here in Bracebridge on way to port Carling. Servers thought my friend and I were dating (we’re both guys) so that was neat. Maybe it was my drink that I ordered? Who knows. Anyways, I made her monthly salary that day so not sure why she had the urge to poke my fragile ego?

I booked a Premium Lakeview Condo at Touchstone Resort for a family trip with my wife and our 7-month-old son. We chose that specific room because of its layout and space, ensuring a comfortable and safe setup for our baby.

After a 3.5-hour drive, we arrived to find we had been placed in a completely different, smaller room that looked nothing like what we booked or what was advertised. When I calmly showed the front desk manager our confirmation and photo evidence, he looked me in the eye and denied the mistake, insisting we had been given the correct room. His attitude was cold, dismissive, and defensive, showing no professionalism.

When I explained that the room was unsuitable for our baby and requested a refund so we could make new arrangements, the manager became confrontational and threatened us with a cleaning charge — even though we had only entered the room briefly to feed our baby and contact Expedia for assistance.

What happened next was both intrusive and insulting. The manager sent a staff member to follow me back to the room as though I were an unruly guest or a teenager there to party. This individual stood by as I explained the situation to my wife and packed up our baby’s belongings so we could leave.

The experience felt needlessly demeaning.

We then returned to the lobby to hand back our key cards. It was raining, and my wife carried our baby inside while I waited in line to return the key cards. Watching my wife standing there, holding our crying son in the middle of the lobby, while we were being treated as if we’d done something wrong, was deeply upsetting and unforgettable.

Expedia later confirmed that Touchstone had indeed assigned us the wrong room. But by then, the damage was done. We had lost time, money, and what should have been the start of a relaxing family trip.

This was not a simple service error — it was a complete failure of integrity, professionalism, and basic human decency. For a resort of this caliber, such treatment is inexcusable.

We stayed at the touchstone resort November 3-5 2025. The room view was stunning, concept of the room was good. The only thing was that the room was definitely well used, the carpets were stained, there was dirty spots on the walls, and baseboards. Could use a refresh in that way.

The steam rooms, and hot tubs were definitely a great hit in of off season... really the only thing to do. If you're there in the summer I can see all of it being overcrowded.

The staff was friendly, and polite, we got a text saying that it was our personal concierge. When we asked them if they could book us into the spa they replied saying it's best to call them directly. Not really what I would say a concierge is...

Great overall experience, the room was very clean and well maintained, everything in its place and working.
We had dinner at the restaurant at the resort and the food was great.
All the amenities were open and also well maintained, overall a great experience. We will go there again!

My family had an amazing stay at Touchstone. We booked a 1 bedroom suite with a kitchen and we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom lakeview suite for free upon check in. The room was well stocked and cozy with a beautiful view.

We really enjoyed all of the amenities offered, we went canoeing and kayaking (free rentals), played pickleball, and had fun making s'mores over the fire at night. The restaurant on-site was also great!

Overall we had a wonderful stay and hope to be back again.

My family and I had a lovely stay at Touchstone. We enjoyed a 4 bedroom, and 3 full bathroom, unit with full kitchen which was well-supplied and the view of Lake Muskoka was gorgeous. We were there over Thanksgiving weekend and the views and grounds were beautiful. Although we didn’t go swimming or in the lake, we did sit out at the beach where they had a fire going and played some of the games which the resort supplies for outdoor fun!

We enjoyed a wonderful, authentic turkey style dinner at the restaurant which was phenomenal. The roasted red pepper soup was delicious and a great way to start meal in the beautiful fall season.

The resort is close to so many attractions! We took our little one to Santa’s village which was less than a 10 minute drive.

It was a perfect way to spend Thanksgiving weekend with family, and they even provided a beautiful sunset each evening! ;)

Thanks Touchstone!

Room decor is nice, but Holiday Inn smell, and no adjustable aiming shower head with multiple settings simply unacceptable for the price. And no restaurant service until noon? And it closes at 8? You're kidding, right? And the upper pool and hot tub we refused to go in as it looked like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Disgusting looking in fact. We expected so much more from them.

The accommodations were excellent, it only Sept when we were there, I was disappointed on the lack of watercraft available....especially for the cost of staying there.
