IL Gatto e la Volpe Bradford

Extremely disappointing experience at IL Gatto e la Volpe Bradford.

My girlfriend and I visited this restaurant expecting a nice meal, but what we experienced was completely unacceptable. After being seated, we waited 10 to 15 minutes, and no one approached us—not even to offer water or menus. The staff seemed completely uninterested in their customers.

What made it worse was the unprofessional behavior of the young employees, who appeared to be teenagers socializing with their friends instead of working. They were laughing and making jokes, and it was very clear that some of their laughter was directed at us. It felt extremely disrespectful and uncomfortable.

We sat there feeling completely ignored and embarrassed, so we decided to leave without ordering anything.
This was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone who expects even a basic level of service or respect. Management seriously needs to retrain their staff and learn what customer service means.

If you want a pizza that reminds you of Italy, this is the place to go. Aside from the menu, the service and atmosphere contributed to a 5-star experience every time we visited.

I celebrated my 30th birthday at Il Gatto e La Volpe in Bradford, and it was such an amazing experience! From start to finish, everything was smooth and stress-free. The food was absolutely delicious, and our server Vanessa went above and beyond to make the evening special—she was attentive, kind, and made sure everything was perfect. The whole team made the celebration feel effortless, and I couldn’t have asked for a better night.

Highly recommend Il Gatto e La Volpe for any special occasion or even just a great meal—you’ll be well taken care of!

Our first time in this restaurant and we LOVED IT!!! The food was sooooo good, my husband had spaghetti Alfredo and was the best one! Me I had the linguine with clams and was delicious! The service was excellent and all the staff was very nice! This is our new best Italian restaurant in Bradford!!! I'm glad we want there to try and to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary!!!!!

We will not recommend this place if you like good Italian food!! We spent almost $400 ( 5 people ) with the tip and all I eat was the bread!! Food was terrible!! Nice staff but lousy cook!

Excellent food. Friendly, efficient and competent service. Music not too loud so able to talk. Well worth a visit!

We had our wedding reception at the Bradford location of Il Gatto e la Volpe, and it was the perfect venue for our smaller wedding. All of the guests commented on how good the food was and the warm and cozy ambience really contributed to the night. Cosimo has been such a pleasure to collaborate with - so kind, calm and relaxed! It was such an incredible night and we really want to extend our heartfelt thank you to Cosimo and the rest of the team at the restaurant!

Great food. Greg selection. Very good Italian food. Definitely rivals some other great Italian restaurants.

Guys. Stop charging 8 dollars for flat water. Come on. People don't realize they are paying for it. Make sure you make it obvious. Next time I come I hope this change is implemented, or I won't be returning.

Recommended dishes: Fried Calamari

We’ve been loyal regulars here for a long time, but tonight was beyond disappointing. I ordered the grilled octopus, which in the past has always been a large, tender, whole tentacle — tonight I got four tiny burnt pieces, cut up into little chunks, and they still charged full price. It was embarrassing to be served something like this at a place we’ve supported for a while. And not to mention they added 4 lemon slices to fill the gaps to make the plate look fuller. Honestly, they should be ashamed to serve such poor quality food. The pizza was good though, but that’s a no brainer lol!!!!

Just had my mom's 70th surprise bday here today. First of all I would like to thank the staff: Mario,Samuele,Vanessa, vincenzo, mattia for doing a fantastic job. Service and food was absolutely wonderful. This has to be one of the best italian restaurants. Its so nice to see the staff so friendly and attentive. If I could give this place more then a five I would. Thank you all for making my mom's bday so special. 💗
