Ordered took out a couple of weeks ago, this place used to be our go to place for Mexican food since the tacos are super fresh.
We ordered 6 tacos in total. I ate two of the chicken tacos and my boyfriend ate one. Both of us had pretty bad diarrhea after. Mine is worse. I went to work for over an hour and had to go to the washroom for three times. So I told my supervisor and went home. Called in the next day because I was dehydrated pretty bad.
My boyfriend’s condition is slightly better but still went to the washroom 5 times the next day too.
Tacos were the best we ever had, but I don’t know why, we were fine in the past when we ordered or dined in at the restaurant. It was just that time, we had very bad diarrhea from it. I would really recommend the restaurant to least be cautious of the food quality there. I lost two days of pay due to the food poisoning because I work hourly.
Anyways, that’s just our experience, just remembered to share this…

Food and live music were okay, and waiters very attentive. But they try to maximize space too much in detriment of the client's experience.
We had reservations, and they put us on a high table exactly in front of a TV - our faces were like 3 inches from the middle of it - which was not a great experience for us with the very intense glare. They also did not want to shut it down when asked, even though I doubt anyone could watch it on account of our faces being in the middle and so close to it. It was just not an enjoyable experience for us, and I basically ate the food as fast possible so we could leave..

We had a fantastic time at La Mexicana. The food was outstanding — we ordered La Patrona, a delicious combo of nachos, flautas, tostadas, and tacos (perfect for sharing), and the quesabirrias, which were incredibly tasty and packed with flavor. We also enjoyed some margaritas and a bulldog cocktail — both refreshing and well-made.
The service was excellent — Mauricio, who was serving us, was outstanding. Super friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and very accommodating. He made sure we had everything we needed and added to the overall experience.
We sat on the patio on a gorgeous summer day, and the chill vibe made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the food.
Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for great Mexican food, solid drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Food is super gross, guacamole taste Costco bought and rotten, we had the quesadillas and I’ve never had a worse one in my life. Even the sour cream was weird and runny. Service was good. Skip this one
