I have lived in Foresthill, CA for over 40 years. I Remember the days when Black Bear opened. Every time I have family in Area, just need a great burger, little late going home and do not want to cook or just because i want a meal, I have ate at Brown Bear so many times over the last 40 years. I moved to Auburn a few months back and had not visited Black Bear but wanted to give it a try. I met some friends , some of which had their small children with them. I was so impressed with the server Kaia ( ?? on spelling) She was so attentive and genuinely sweet. She was so patient with the kids being some what wild and overall an amazing server. I’ve been going to this restaurant for several years, for breakfast, mostly, but also for lunch and dinner. Always generous portions, always perfectly prepared and served with alacrity and humor. Love the experience.
