Place was relatively full but overall the service was fast and quick. I ordered some banana bread from the bakery to go and they were quick to process my purchase! Banana bread was great and honestly very worth the money. 10/10

Breakfast was delicious and the staff was absolutely lovely. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the apple pie, though. They look amazing, but the apples were undercooked and the flavour was not as good as I'd hoped. At $20 each, I was hoping for better.

Wasn’t sure what to expect because it seems like it’s in the middle of nowhere but it was really good and the buttertarts were incredible
We paid $16 for the absolute WORST pecan buttertarts at the Buttertart Festival in Paris….soggy & tasteless pastry, not fresh.
The absolute BEST. Desserts made fresh & I have literally tried them all. I travel to purchase their fresh pies & cheesecake often. Breakfast is top notch also. Always clean, service is always great & the food is always top quality. Thanks Frannie 😀

The steps going in are very unstable especially for people who have mobility issues. Floor inside was super slippery.
The portions were amazing and food was good.

We just had the pleasure of stopping at Frannies for a quick slice of the key lime pie and the banoffee pie and OMG they were out of this world✈️🌎 We sat outside on their cute intimate patio and it was perfect. Also the mile high apple pie looks insane might have to try that next! I would drive 30 minutes outside of Guelph for a slice of that banoffee pie any day. Might need to hit up Frannie for that recipe😉
Very good food, great service dessert was sooooo amazing. A little pricey but a nice treat.

It was our first time at Frannie’s today, we went for a late lunch, around 12:30. The place was packed, inside and out. The patio is so beautiful, but sadly it was full but we got a table inside. It was very loud inside due to the small space, and it was a bit hard to hear the people I sat with.
I got a burger and my friend got a breakfast. The breakfast was very very good, 5 stars. My burger was decent, nothing special, but the salad dressing was very tasty (honey almond vinaigrette). The coffee was excellent and the servers were very quick on the refills. I will definitely come back and try something else.
The service was friendly and quick. We had a lot of questions and our server could answer them all. Our waitress (dark hair, tattoos) was very bubbly despite how busy they were, and she had some great dessert recommendations. We shared a slice of key lime pie - it was amazing.
We will be coming back when it isn’t as busy to try the butter tarts. Overall, we had a good time, just wish it wasn’t so loud.

My husband and 2 kids had lunch at Frannies lovely place today. We were given a heads up that there was a wait on food, but everything came quite quick. I got the fish and chips and they were excellent. Our server, Laura, was amazing! Everyone was clearly busy and working hard, but Laura made sure we were well taken care of. Certainly coming back to try some pie next time. Definitely would recommend.

We visited Frannie's Restaurant And Bakery and ordered the Monte Cristo Sandwich priced at $16.99, described as French toast stuffed with ham and Swiss cheese, served with home fries. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing. The sandwich was poorly executed—soggy bread, bland ham, and barely melted cheese that failed to deliver on flavor. The home fries were greasy and underseasoned, adding to the overall letdown. The high price tag only made the subpar quality more frustrating. We were thoroughly unsatisfied and will not be returning. This place doesn't even deserve a one-star rating.
We’d heard so much about Frannie’s we were excited to try it. On our first visit we ordered the lunch special , burger and fries with a dill pickle soup. The food was delicious. We were too full to get dessert so we brought a tray of our favourite home. Cherry cheesecake. However we were very disappointed that there was only cool whip flavour , no cheesecake flavour at all, and even the graham bottom and cherry topping lacked any flavour. We had enjoyed the meal though so encouraged our friends to come try it with us. Two of us ordered the turkey dinner, one the schnitzel (and one a skillet) so 3 of us received the side veggies which were turnip and carrot. None of us could eat the veggies aside from the fact they were overcooked and mushy I love turnip and carrot and could deal with that. However there was an extremely odd flavour from them both (making them taste the same) that made them inedible. We weren’t sure if it was rancid butter or something chemical or what but it was awful. We told our young waiter who was trying his best who said he’d let the chef know. We had to finally ask him if he had told the chef and he said he had but the chef said they should be fine and no one else has ever complained. No offer to replace or substitute. The turkey itself was sub par and dry, the stuffing buried and not much of it and wet. The turkey gravy had no flavour but made the meal less dry. At least those parts were edible but there was definitely something wrong with those veggies. We were originally going to give the butter tarts a try to take home despite the disappointment with the cheesecake, however after that meal we all cut our losses, paid the bill and left and found a nearby farmers market store and bought a delicious cherry pie at a much more reasonable price. We won’t bother trying Frannie’s a third time.

Frannie's has the best buttertarts I've EVER had! Sweet, buttery, soft, silky center caramel delight! A symphony of sugar: from the caramelized outside to the more complex interior, where the consistency ranges depending on serving temperature. The crust is just enough to keep form, but soft, eggy, and wheaty enough to provide a light base and counterpoint for the sweetness! And, flavors! Deliciously curated: plain, pecan, raisin, salted caramel, Score Bar, and Reese’s Pieces. A roomful of Ontarians confirmed: best THEY'D ever had! I'm not surprised to hear Frannie's won awards and is renowned among those who know. I've brought a dozen back to NYC, woefully deprived of this peak buttertart experience! People are realizing: we've never had actual Canadian buttertarts in NYC -- and they're incredible! Frannie's neighborly customer service and simple delight in baking and spreading joy helped make this international order work. She gamely baked up a batch to travel to our Toronto party, and a special dozen to travel further down to NYC, where my foodie friends are gobsmacked with revelation and delight!
