Entrees , appetizers & service was great as usual! However we (group of 4) were extremely disappointed that bread/dinner rolls were no longer offered, served or available! Having the brie cheese as an appetizer and no option of bread might seem like a small issue but very noticeable for a restaurant of this calibre

The mushroom risotto and the octopus appetizer are both very good. I had them twice about a year and half apart and it's no fluke, they know what they're doing. Octopus was perfect texture, comes with nice sauce. Risotto is cooked perfect with nice sauce. Very very delicious.

Food was absolutely fabulous. The appetizers, main courses and deserts. The chef does it all with yummy results. Prices are very reasonable and portions generous. Sat on the patio with perfect patio weather on September evening and a lovely bottle of wine. What a score for the town of Brighton. This was my second visit of many more to come.

Celebrated our dad’s 90th birthday and The Gables restaurant didn’t disappoint. The owners, chef and staff all made this a very delicious and special event for our family and guests. They were very accommodating in making this a surprise and fun birthday event. Highly recommend this restaurant in Brighton! Thanks again to everyone.

We came to this restaurant with high hopes as the reviews were great. Unfortunately it did not live up to the hype. My schnitzel was overcooked, dry and tough. The grilled shrimp appetizer was also overcooked and shrimp were tough. Service was slow and not sure why as the restaurant was almost empty. Perhaps it was an off night but not sure we would return.
