Great food I ever had , am from Scarborough always I wanted to try glables …. And they are appetizer was sooooo good and creative ,friendly services , Pleasant ambiance they have a unique sauce that’s my most fav one ……..Glables is a great place to visit….❤️??

So our go to place for a great meal but disappointed last night. The Chef was off his game, or not even there, burnt crab cakes and seafood pasta. Tomatoes in seafood pasta that wasn’t there last time. It was an amazing dish last time, with great flavours in the sauce. I should have complained to the hostess, but didn’t want to ruin our night out. I will give them another chance to redeem themselves but we might be moving on to another go to place…

My parents live in Brighton but this was my first visit to the Gables despite many years of encouragement. The food was fantastic....Rack of Lamb, Risotto, Seafood Platter, salads, desserts, wine and cocktails. We all left very pleased with the food first and foremost, the service and with conversation with the wonderful owners. Thank you and we will return.

Very nice atmosphere. An old home turned into a restaurant, while keeping many of the original features. We were a party of 8, and all found something on the menu. I have a gluten intolerance and asked about a specific dish being safe; the waitress said it was. Most of us found the food, specifically the sauces, too rich. My sister ended up throwing up a few hours later, and I was writhing in pain which I suspect was from gluten. Very expensive restaurant for the area. Oh, and a large party of about 12 with 2 dogs (not service dogs) was allowed into the restaurant. Gross. That’s a Health and Safety violation. Overall, a disappointment. Keep pets out of your restaurant and ensure that your staff know about food allergies.
