Cheaper motel right on the highway. Good parking availability for larger vehicles and small trailers. Owners are renovating slowly with some nice upgrades but don't set your sights to high its still a cheap motel at best. Comfortable beds, good bar and restaurant on site and quiet at night. Good find.

I was travelling by boat and on two occasions stopped in Bruce mines.
On my first stay, I arrived at Bruce Mines Marina around mid morning. I chose this marina, in part, because I saw there was an adjacent motel. After staying on my 28' boat for a few days, I was ready to take a day off from boating.
I wandered up to the motel around noon where Max very politely explained that check-in is at 4 pm, but he would expedite my room.
So I made myself comfortable in the bar and met some local regulars.
And Max was able to get me in a room early.
I chose a simple room, but it was all I needed and more. A comfortable bed, hot shower and fairly good wifi. There was also a microwave and small fridge in the room.
Overall, I was very happy with both the room and the service I received from Max.

We stayed one night in early August. First impression was not good at all. The owner really needs to pick up his game with improving the appearance of the property. If we had not booked ahead, based on the reviews, I doubt we would have even considered staying.
However, the reviews were generally very good, so we booked and once we arrived and saw our room, we were not disappointed. The room had been renovated and the bathroom in particular was beautiful. No complaints at all.
The beds were comfortable, the shower had good water pressure and the entire room was squeaky clean. We would definitely stay again.

At first glance, I thought Oh No! We realized they are in the middle of renovations. The room we had was totally upgraded with a view of the lake. It was very clean. The only thing needed is to change the shower curtain. The bottom is dirty and stain which takes away from such a nice spacious room. The owner is extremely helpful. The restaurant had good food and great service!

We stayed in a newly reno-ed luxury suite, it was clean and large with fun lighting! the pizza's and cocktails were good with a friendly bar- it was worth the extra few bucks for the better room.

Great spot! My room was a great value, the staff was super friendly, and there was a nice view of the lake to wake up to.My only complaint would be about the wifi. I don't know how good connectivity in Bruce Mines is generally, but I had trouble doing much beyond instant messaging on the wifi. Seems likely that they aren't (yet) using commercial grade APs and so their equipment was saturated with connections despite having enough bandwidth to work with. Commercial wifi can be easy to do but hard to do well. Might be worth the investment though so visitors can video chat with family/coworkers or placate the kids with YouTube.

We stayed for one night travelling back from Saskatchewan. The attendant switched us to a main floor room as I have limited mobility. The room was clean, king bed was comfortable. The tile around the tube could use some new grout but that didn't interferred with our stay. The parking lot was very large for our truck and livestock trailer. The restaurant attached to the motel was decorated for Halloween and the food smelled and looked good. There is a nice park on behind the motel that was right on the water.Rooms: The room was large. King bed was comfortable and linens were clean. 5 pillows was nice as I like to prop myself up.Tile in bathroom needs new grout but that didn't interfere with our stay. Satelite tv was not working but a very pleasant fella fixed it very quickly.Safety: Parking lot was well lit. Door had 2 locks. Area was busy with activity.Food & drinks: There was a restaurant attached to the motel plus a convenience store in walking distance. Unfortunately the ice cream palour across the street was closed.
