Appetizers were absolutely delicious! Many great options - perfect for sharing. The brie was amazing - my favourite. Cozy atmosphere, attentive service -- thank you for a great dining experience!

Amazing food, and the loveliest service! Our family of four all had the schnitzel last night. Two of us had it with spaetzle, (the little noodles) and two of us with fries, both served with some veggies and so delicious. We also enjoyed the jaeger sauce which is like a gravy that can be ordered on the side. Thank you Iris for the lovely service and amazing meal !

We were pleasantly surprised to find this lovely Swiss/European restaurant at the Calabogie Resort Hotel. The head chef and manager provided excellent service and information on the menu. It has classic Swiss dishes covering the different cultural heritages of Switzerland- German, French, and Italian. The presentation of the dishes and taste were delightful, and the prices were not exorbitant. The manager has also added some Swiss decor to the design. We enjoyed the food very much, and the ambiance, and will go back to this unique and delightful restaurant!

Make sure you read the menu in detail and ask questions. I ordered a swiss burger that had some really stinky cheese on it. One bite and had to spit it out. I suggest you ask the server about the menu items. The French onion soup was good and the French fries were good. If you go for the fall colours make sure to leave early enough to arrive by around noon as the ski lift stops operating at 3pm. We arrived at 2:50 and the lift was already shut down. Unfortunately this is off season and the bathroom had one toilet out of 3 working. The disabled toilet was also out of order. The unkept nature of the washroom did not do this hotel any favor's. We checked out a meeting room that smelled quite bad and like it had not been aired out in many months. I would hate to see what the rooms were like as far as cleanliness. This place needs management that provides the level of cleanliness and service of a better hotel.

This Swiss restaurant, and the owner Iris, are amazing. We invited another couple to join us, as they had lived in Switzerland. The food was pronounced authentic as well as delicious. Charcuterie plate, Braised beef ribs, schnitzel cordon bleu with spaetzle, Zurich style veal with mushroom sauce were all well received. For dessert we enjoyed nusstorte and tiramisu. We recommend!

A classic ski hill restaurant but with a real Swiss twist to add to an already good menu. And the service is a treat too. We tried a few traditional Swiss dishes and were impressed by the taste, quality, and presentation.Mixed salad, Zurich veal strips in a creamy sauce, veal piccata, flammkuchen. The wine selection is not large, but we found a wonderful Chilean red at a reasonable price. The atmosphere is very comfortable with roomy tables indoor or out, and great views of the pond and ski hill. The manager Iris makes guests feel comfortable right away and keeps her eye on your table to make sure everything is just right for you.Highly recommended.

Friendly service. Food was not great. I ordered a flat bread which seemed like it was made on store bought naan. Lacked seasoning and the cheese on top wasn't fully melted and not even slightly browned.

Stopped in when it was just about -30° out for a fondue and drink. The place was cozy despite the outdoors and food was tasty!

Kudos to the website designer and photographer - makes the place look full of heart and special. The reality though is sadly a bit of a letdown. Warm greeting, conversation is restrained but adequate. Very nice glass of wine - nice setting, fireplace etc. At this point one expects rolls or whatever swiss begin a meal with. Nothing. No biggie but strange. We mentioned the entrees we were planning on to help decide on a wine and somehow this led her placing the order with the kitchen skipping any offer of appetizers, not sure what happened there. No biggie, we joke that we'll make it up with dessert. The food arrives and it's difficult to explain the feeling because our expectations are high and we want so much to be impressed - My wife had the veal strips in mushroom sauce, tasty but ridiculously tiny amount of veal - as in kids menu portion. I actually joked with her suggesting she order another dish. As for my entree, I have had many Cordon Bleu in my years and I have to say this was the most completely disappointing I've ever had - maybe it's the swiss way I don't know, but there's nothing of the highest class about this flat boring rewarmed version. For dessert, my wife had the Black Forest; again, fine but not even slightly decadent, while I had the Mango Berry cheesecake - tasty, but again, tiny slices blandly plopped diner style on little wooden saucers without any love whatsoever. To wrap this up: the website, and reading that the manager has worked in St Moritz etc., creates an expectation that she understands experience and polish. This restaurant is lacking in both. We were back in the car in under an hour. I would have gladly spent double or more to have the experience match the expectation. Friends asked how the place was and I replied – it's not high end as we had thought, it's not a diner, it's not a pub or tavern, I guess kind of a weird mix of all three leaning more one way or the other depending on what you order, I don't think they know what they want to be. If you go in thinking that, you'll be fine. I hope this helpful.
