Had an awesome experience at On The Rocks restaurant at the Calabogie Lodge Resort! The food was 5 start, the staff and service were extra attentive with a personal fun feel. Vanessa was our server and certainly went above and beyond! Big kudos to her! The drinks were fun and delicious! We even got to have our after diner bevies in their Speakeasy Room which we was truly icing on the cake! Our waitress (who is also a phenomenal singer there now and then) spent some extra time with us to give us some history and insite into herself, the chef and a few other interesting tidbits. The chef (restaurant owner) also joined us in the Speakeasy Room for a drink and a chat! You can rent out the Speakeasy Room for special occasions! Can’t wait to come back! I Highly recommend this place!

It’s worth the drive to Calabogie and to “On the Rocks” in particular. The restaurant is a gem. Gorgeous decor, amazing food/drinks and fabulous service. Their wine selection is superb (try the California Edge!).We were there on a Wednesday evening so wasn’t too busy. The restaurant has a cool cocktail meets great food vibe. Sort of Drake Like. We split the Focaccia bread platter, steak and frites and the chocolate brownie dessert. Generous portions and excellent presentation. Kudos to the kitchen. Had a lovely chat with the owner Gunner. If you are in the area (or even if you have to drive a ways) you need to try this place out.
