Gabe's Country Bake Shoppe

I order a veal sandwich; firstly the server took her sweet time; she was even cleaning utensils as she was using them; secondly the sandwich was so cold that I could not enjoy it.
It is unfortunate.

This is still my favorite bakery but I would ask the girls at the front when packaging the baked goods to separate them. Nobody wants to go home and have caramel/ chocolate cheesecake mixed in with Nanaimo bars . I wanted to put them on a plate and display for Christmas so squishing them all in one small box is upsetting . Happy Holidays next time I will make sure I ask for them to not be squished :)

This is my favourite bakery hands down !
I live in the beach and always stop here when going to the city ! The staff are so accommodating ! The cannolis and veal are my favourite!

Very disappointed after my 2nd visit which was for the sole purpose of giving the place a 2nd chance. Came in for lunch and got served some absolutely revolting Goyslop. I got the “best selling” rigatoni to find out it’s Lukewarm with a damp mushy texture. As a backup I ordered a slice of pizza which happened to be stone cold and stale. Felt like it was over a week old. Now sitting here with $20 of inedible food looking for the nearest bin to chuck it in.

There is so much I want to say about the exceptional food, service and care and attention that Gabe personally gives, but there is not enough words.
Gabe has been catering multiple events for us now and we have been impressed very time. His attention to detail and love for what he does, is evident in the amazing food that he provides. He is always on time (even in a snow storm) and the food is always hot.
We are looking forward to even more events in the future!

I ordered a birthday cake from Gabe’s Bakery and WOW it was incredible! The cake looked amazing, tasted even better, and was a total hit with everyone. Super fresh, perfectly made, and full of flavour and the sweetness level was on point. Huge shoutout to Gabe’s Bakery you guys nailed it!

Got a pizza slice with hair on it…. I was feeling vomit on the first bite, it seems that it was 2-3 days old slice.
Total wastage of money

I decided to give this bakery a second chance. Disappointed! Gloves not used. Stale cupcakes. Not even a smile or pleasant greeting when entering the bakery. It’s like the staff is miserable. I will drive 20 minutes away to another bakery before going here again.

I took pastries there, the girl put sweets without gloves and without devices, that is, no one in that place knows what hygiene is, and as for coffee, there is a whole glass of ice there than coffee itself, I made a remark but was told that if we put me ice, the coffee will be hot, it's ridiculous, I do not recommend this place to anyone, and the owners should pay attention to this problem

I recently visited Gabe's and wanted to share my experience. Firstly, I must commend the coffee; it was truly delicious and exceeded my expectations. However, I did notice a couple of aspects that could use improvement.

One issue I found concerning was the handling of the cookies. They were served without gloves, which raises hygiene concerns. It's essential for food establishments to prioritize cleanliness, especially when it comes to items that customers will be consuming.

Additionally, I witnessed a situation where a customer requested less ice in her drink, and the staff member insisted that it was prepared that way by default. While I understand that certain standards exist, it’s important for service staff to be attentive and respectful to customer requests. This interaction felt dismissive and could be improved to enhance customer satisfaction.

Overall, while the coffee is fantastic, I hope the management can address these service and hygiene issues for a better experience in the future. Thank you!

The girl who made our take out party size pizza on July 2nd undercooked it by several minutes. The top was uncooked, the pepperoni was raw and the dough was gross. If your pizza sales are dropping try training staff. We order this regularly but I think you lost another customer. Airport pizza is more reliable.

I went in today to buy pasteries and was very disappointed. There wasn't much of a selection. I didn't appreciate that the girl serving me wasn't wearing gloves. She picked them up with her bare hands. It honestly grossed me out. And also they did not taste fresh. I will not be returning.

I’ve had coffee here before which is always excellent. Purchased 3 cupcakes, Portuguese tarts, 3 cookies, 4 buns and 1 butter tart. The cupcakes were stale. The icing was horrible, had to throw them out. The Portuguese tarts tasted very artificial and not good. I threw all 6 out. I was told to make the Portuguese tarts fresh every morning, but these were not good
We paid over $60 for these items and I don’t mind paying money for a good fresh products but these were not fresh or tasty or edible and all of them were thrown out. Even my small grandchildren would not eat the cupcakes, the icing was terrible, and the cupcake was stale . Big disappointment and a waste of money.
Save your money. I’m sorry I have to write this, but I would never buy anything there again, although I believe in supporting small local businesses, I won’t be going there again.
