Nice place to meet up someone for a quick meeting. Food is good , service standard. Good country style menu , country style vibes and quiet place . The gas station next doo is a bit rowdy and busy so park in a safe spot. and watch on entering and exiting the restaurant. Washroom is ok.

What a great experience overall. The diner accommodated a complicated order due to dietary sensitivities and made the food very quickly. The portions were huge and they certainly didn't skimp on the ingredients. But dishes were cooked perfectly with great flavors while keeping it simple in a great way. I like the atmosphere, the music's great, and the staff are all very friendly. Would return!

We have been coming to Red Onion with my family for years, but today (Jan 17, 2026, 2:40pm est) I had a disappointing experience. I was told by a server that I couldn’t sit in the corner booth, even though other booths and takeout options were available. This was frustrating on a day I wanted to relax and enjoy a solo meal. It was very disappointing, as we’ve had good experiences in the past. We hope they reconsider staff training, as this behavior was a turn-off. We will be taking our business elsewhere for the time being.

Ordered online, food was ready on time however would not recommend poutine. Overall take out food was not great, free slice of cheesecake when ordering $50 before taxes... Maybe free because it seemed like it was couple days old - top was hard. Very disappointed as there in house experience is much better, I expected take out to be similar. Tried to call but no answer.

This was our first time here and we stopped for lunch. The service was excellent 👍🏻 The staff(She) was managing everything all alone so effortlessly 😊 Food was delicious apart from the Original burger as it was too dry. The butternut squash soup, haddock fish and Red Velvet cheesecake were delicious 😋
