The 1886 Lake House Bistro offers a delightful dining experience with its beautiful interior, delicious food, and wonderful service. The pasta is cooked to perfection, and breakfast dishes like the Farmer Brittany Eggs Benedict are highly recommended. The restaurant features a small and cozy atmosphere, with a first-come, first-served policy that can make it challenging to get a table. However, the effort is worth it, as the wine list is extensive, the craft beer selection is excellent, and the ingredients are sourced from local farms. The Elk sausage roll and the short ribs were both delicious, full of flavour with great presentation. The Shrimp St. Jacques is a favourite. The service is great, friendly and amazing, and the atmosphere is quiet, relaxing and cozy. It is a must-visit destination and the best restaurant in the North Bay area, a must try. Every dish is delicious, with impressive drink options like the coffee mocktail that complement the meals nicely.
