For our family, this is the place where we are willing to travel from toronto.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!
No one bothered to even take our orders, we were there for 20 mins!
Severely understaffed and rude !

Was not impressed with the food. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, pasta was alright, meatballs tasted as if they were frozen boxed meatballs. Definitely not handmade. Not enough sauce on the pasta.
My guest ordered the Nancy Fettuccine and added the chicken for an extra charge. On the menu it says grilled chicken, this was not the case. Tasted like processed chicken you get in a microwave pasta dish. Also he ordered the gluten free pasta and was assured it was handmade. Not the case, pasta came all cut up into pieces. When we asked if it was made fresh they again said yes of course. At the end of the meal the waitress said she was wrong and the gluten free pasta was boxed. Paid an added $3.75 for boxed gluten free pasta that reminded me of a Lipton’s Sidekick dish.
Total bill came to $75 and change for two pasta dinners that were horrible. Not sure if it was an off night or not but honestly I’ve had better pasta at East Side Mario’s where I expect boil in a bag pasta.

Waitress was amazingly friendly though.
Wont be back.

The food was not good at all. They said it was all freshly made. You can tell it wasnt. I ordered the gluten free pasta they said was freshly made but at the end finally told us it was boxed. The grilled chicken was not grilled and tasted frozen. The meat balls looked n tasted like ones you get from m&m meat . Overall not a good experience but the waitress was really nice

Visited for the first time with some colleagues and it was fabulous. Toronto’s Little Italy has nothing on Amici. The service was beyond hospitable and well, to say the food was amazing would be an understatement! I forgot how fried calamari was supposed to be cooked, certainly won’t be ordering it anywhere else anytime soon. The veal and hand made fettuccine was off the charts, as were the other dishes.
I’ll be back really soon.

One of the best Italian place I have ever visited. The food was beyond words and everything was served fresh. The service was amazing. Cannot wait to go back again. Loved it. Highly recommend.

True thin crust pizza, you have not tasted pizza until you have it here. Fresh pasta, and homemade sauces with only the best ingredients. The taste is like a party in your mouth. Quaint little restaurant, I love sitting by the old brick pizza ovens watching them make these works of art while I wait. True gem of Cambridge.

Ordered takeout from Amici in Cambridge and was really disappointed. I got two pasta dishes — fettuccine Nancy and fettuccine Leslie from the menu) — and added chicken to both for an extra $8.25 each. The food quality was very average, but the prices were surprisingly high — comparable to some of the best Italian restaurants in downtown Toronto.

What really surprised me, though, are the glowing reviews this place has. Maybe it was an off night… or maybe locals just don’t get out much and aren’t using a proper barometer for what a good Italian restaurant actually is. I’m not trying to be rude — but if you’ve eaten at Terroni, Gusto 101, Sotto Sotto, Carisma, Trattoria Nervosa, or Buca in Toronto, or even Riccis in Woodbridge, the difference is night and day. At those places, you get quality, portion size, flavour, and an overall experience that justifies the price. At Amici, unfortunately, you don’t.

Two full pasta meals with added chicken shouldn’t leave you hungry 20 minutes later — especially at these prices. Grand Total a whopping 70 dollars! No sides.. no extras.. nothing!

Bottom line: unless you’re okay overpaying for underwhelming food, I’d recommend skipping Amici.

Absolutely incredible Italian restaurant with authentic, hand-made ingredients! This hidden gem has a menu much like you'd see in some parts of Italy, almost too many delicious dishes to choose from. With friendly and helpful staff, very reasonable prices, and the authentic Italian cooking, there are many reasons why we will definitely be returning!

I ordered “Spaghetti carbonara” but swapped it for linguini and added chicken. Delicious! I think I could eat the garlic bread dipped in the pasta sauce all day lol but the made-from-scratch noodles were also delicious. The tiramisu was delightful. Will definitely be back with my family - I know my kids will love the pasta!
