Most frequented spot for me. Wide variety of menu and flavours. Staff is nice and the food comes quick. Comfort food haven when I feel nostalgic for Asian food.

The food is fairly priced. Around 20$ for an entree, 10$ for an appetizer and speciality drinks range from 5$+. Service was all very quick.
The food and appetizers were great. Had leftovers to take home. I was surprised they had takeout containers for our pho and ramen dishes.
The bubble tea is a must try.
Complimentary tea and plenty of napkins which was a huge plus in my books.
The place was very clean, including the washrooms and the atmosphere was great. I would highly recommend this spot

The food was great but we didn't have a server help us at any point. From the moment we got seated, we had to ask for menus, we had to flag somebody down to take our order, we had to flag another person down to bring us water, nobody checked how the food was, had to find somebody to get our bill. We are not sure if we even had a server but the food was amazing so oh well
This is apparently one of my family’s favourite spots in Cambridge, so I was disappointed in my experience. We ordered the shrimp fresh rolls, some noodle dishes and bubble tea.
My pad see ew meat and noodles were good, but hardly any vegetables. The beef tongue was tender in the pho. The shrimp fresh roll was too basic for me, I prefer ones with more herbs like cilantro or mint for flavour. My bubble tea had very soft tapioca pearls, not sure if they could have been over or under cooked. The chow mein had a sauce that was a thick consistency but not much flavour.

Plastic pieces in the food
Really good pad Thai. I thought it was “fad” Thai when I first had it, my uncle got it and said it was good. I was 14 or so. I looked up to him and thought it was exotic to eat something spicy. I learned how to use chop sticks by crumbling napkins on table and putting them in spoon with chop sticks. I remember the pain in my fingers, the muscle aches I’d have from trying so hard . And how hard it is to pick up tiny ball of napkin with chop stick. It took a few times before it became pad and not fad. Cambridge is always home base Ben thahn. But Kitchener is good too.
The manager is really mean. They serve us the wrong meal which has beef and avocado in it, but we ordered pork roll(there is only a little bit avocado in there so we didn’t notice that until we opened it,we don’t eat beef). She refused to talk to us and keep forcing a waitress who barely spoke English to tell us:you almost finished the meal so you have to pay. There must be something wrong with her 🧠

402 was disappointing to say the least. 1 shrimp and a lot of raw celery. Flavour on the broth was the only thing that I enjoyed

Recommend:
• cantonese chow mein
• squid tentacles (expensive but so worth it!!)
• deep fried calamari w/ wasabi mayo
• lemongrass chicken
• pho
• curry
Skip:
• boba (it’s not tapioca pearls, it’s the “agar bubbles/jellies”)
• rainbow boba (it was just thick coconut milk! Like the one that comes in the cans)
• mixed vegetables (not worth the price, I thought it was going to be a mix of the 4 vegetables you can choose from for a different menu item: snow peas, asparagus, bok choy, i forget the other one, but it was just cheap veggies and the celery was old and fibrous)

We ordered takeout from Ben Thanh for the office and everyone was very impressed. The portions were generous, the food was full of flavour, and there was a great variety to choose from. We’ll definitely be ordering from Ben Thanh again!

I ordered two bubbletea drinks and it was so disappointing. They tasted artificial and the strawberry one tastes like Pepto Bismo.

The food is always so good. Never a long wait for it. The service is also very good and very polite.
The atmosphere is the only thing that is off for me. Mainly the koi pond … looks like it needs to be taken more care of.
But everything is spot on.
