I love Wasabi restaurants. They see, a variety of hot and cold food and snacks and drinks. The store in Cambridge is located on the corner of Petty Cury in the city centre. It's a short walk from Kings College and really close to the Grand Arcade. I visited with my family and we were all really satisfied with our food. Very tasty! The staff were really friendly and welcoming.

Any kind of sushi that isn’t freshly made will always taste old. This place has sushi that is better than supermarket quality but it’s not freshly made on site. I accompanied my sushi with a packet of tasty rice crackers. Decor is very minimalist with annoying cold air curtains on the fridges to hinder choosing what to buy.

Grumpy service, plastic laiden box to make box seem bigger, hard bits of rice in California rolls, no cans in fridge only tepid 10 degree pepsi. No pickled ginger. On the plus side the vegan salmon was good. Will avoid in the future, with a drink I nearly paid a tenner, poor value.

Terrible service which involved me not getting the food I had ordered after driving to the restaurant. None of my complaints since have been dealt with, crap customer service followed by an even worse complaints procedure. Stick to other sushi restaurants, Yo! actually value their customers.

My dad has been undergoing chemotherapy and in order to accommodate him all food has to be cooked fresh. Wasabi, has always been a good option as they’ve never had any trouble in doing that for me. However went in this afternoon and asked for a fresh katsu and the blonde lady serving me looked as of I just shot her mum. She snapped back ‘everything is fresh’. So rude and appalling customer service.

Tired from lots of sightseeing and a long drive to Cambridge, we called in here for an early dinner. We all chose sushi of some kind. It was all nice tasty food. Once replenished we went on our way.

I visited this store recently as in the past the food was quite nice, however, on this occasion, things were very different. The hot food was already plated up in plastic containers and not looking like the last time as far as presentation or quality was concerned. The noodles were dry and not very nice and the chicken in the curry was overcooked and dry, not a great start, but it got a lot worse. When I tried to mix the noodles to hopefully make them a little more palatable, the noodles were stuck together and burned on the underside. see the picture for the state of the noodles. The food was lukewarm and below the standard, I would have expected better from such a large chain.

Decided to try again after lockdown Wish i never. Dried out chicken. Sushi packet when opened smelled old. Tuna was discolouring. Will give it a miss for a while

after people trying sushi in these type of places they never eating sushi after saying they didnt like it. of course! food is bland, fish poor quality, rolls falling apart and overall its cheap stuff sold highly overpriced.

Don't get me wrong we visit frequently, it hits the spot & pricepoint when travelling with a teen or introducing a picky kid to sushi that they may subsequently leave. I love the spicy brown chirashi rice box, cheap & tasty, I eat that in preference to the incredibly bland salmon nigiri that features heavily in this chains offerings. It does represent good value, the store is busy, always! ... table seats are often shared ..& we like that, but too much packaging that is binned with zero sign of separation. Toilets are upstairs you have to be fit & non disabled to reach them so be warned (however they are clean & comfortable when reached). Staff are always friendly & fast to assist, range is good but does run out ..beat the lunch rush for optimal choice.
