I had an interesting experience with Biryaniwalla Cambridge location.
I had placed a bulk order for a 15 people (Boneless Chicken Biryani and Chicken 65) and that too for a delivery at a Camping site which was a 40 minutes drive from their store.
There were some confusions within the internal team of the store and instead of the Chicken 65 starter item, The Chicken 65 Biryani was delivered.
When I complained it to the store, they acknowledged their mistake (obviously after a few long and descriptive phone calls) and they rectified it by sending someone again along with the Chicken 65 and even after insisting a couple of times they did not take the extra biryani back by saying that they are compensating for their mistake.

Taste wise, I would always give the Biryaniwalla's a full 5 star.
This time I would also give them 5 stars for their excellent customer service for turning my almost bad experience into a pleasant one.
Not rating the atmosphere of the restaurant as honestly I wasn't there.

If I would ever need to place an order for food in the nearby Cambridge-Kitchener-Waterloo area, my first choice would be this restaurant.

Today at 6:30 pm, I bought Chicken Dum Biryani. But when I came home and opened the box, there was only one leg piece and plain white rice. There was no dum flavor or masala at all – it tasted just like plain rice. I am a regular customer, but today I received this kind of experience for the first time, which was very disappointing. Definitely not worth the money.

I have ordered from this place 3–4 times before without any major issues, but this time was extremely disappointing. I ordered chicken biryani on Thursday, August 21, and picked it up around 11:30 AM. Unfortunately, the chicken was not fresh at all—it was old and had a very unpleasant smell, making it inedible. The portion size was fine, but that doesn’t matter if the food itself cannot be eaten.

This kind of quality is unacceptable, especially for a dish like biryani where freshness is key. Very disappointing experience, and it makes me hesitant to order from here again.

After having done take out for several years, we decided to dine in for the first time - gamechanger! We tried a few new things (apart from our usual Palanadu). First off - kudos for the vast variety of Veg options in Biryani other than the standard Veg Dum.

This time we tried their starters Dahi Ke Kebab and Gobi RR - both of which were fantastic. The Gobi RR in particular was something absolutely new and flavorful for us.

For mains, we got Koriseema Paneer Biryani and Kadai Veg. While Kadai Veg was tasty, it could have definitely featured more veggies. The Koriseema on the other hand was fantastic - great flavour, hot and spicy 🔥

We ended the meal with Double Ka Meetha - intensely sweet, and warm, bread pudding. Ideal for those with a sweet tooth.

The service was good with a friendly, smiling host and we felt well looked after.

We were too hungry, and the food was way too inviting - so no photos.
