Amazing food and great service! Every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was lovely and made for a really enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommend!☺️

The food was tasty but was overpriced. The steaks were not the size listed. We ordered the $190 porterhouse for 2 - it stated 23 oz. but it was more like 14-16 oz, and thin. The sides were only portioned for 1 person. We left hungry and unimpressed. We expected more for the cost.

Recently ate dinner here for a professional conference with a larger group, we could not have had a better time! Autumn, our server, was NEXT LEVEL and our whole group couldn’t stop talking about the outstanding work she does. The whole team was lovely! The food was amazing and ambiance is very pleasant, clean & cozy. I’ll be back if I’m ever in the area again!

I almost canceled. The website and another Google menu search identified 2 older menus that were not the same as what I was presented in the restaurant.
However, when I arrived, all my hesitancy vanished. It was a first class experience all the way! The food, service and ambiance were equal to any dining experiences that I've had in Toronto or Montreal.

We planned a birthday celebration at the Blackshop for my Father's 95th Birthday. We were a group of 14 and our celebration took place in one of the private dining rooms. It was spacious enough for mingling and beautifully decorated.We had 2 dedicated servers who were fantastic! Started with cocktails followed by appys, mains and wine . We concluded with Birthday cake and coffee. A fabulous evening! Thankyou Blackshop for providing excellent service, superb food and a perfect VENUE!

We had an excellent evening out. Amy, our server, was fantastic. Very attentive. Food was excellent as per usual. Loving the new look. Seating was perfect. Thanks to the staff and Chef for making our anniversary special.

Opentable Diner

Very beautiful dinning space . Great appetizers (had wings and Brussels sprouts) however the mushroom risotto was extremely salty. Service was a bit slow for a weekday dinner.

The whole experience was amazing. Each course was thoughtfully curated... The wine pairings were chosen wisely, and the food was fabulous! The service, as always, was wonderful. This is the third wine pairing I've attended at Blackshop and I can't wait for the next one! Good job!

We visited Blackshop for the first time last night and it will certainly not be our last visit. The service was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and personable. We encountered a few staff members throughout our stay but Ailsa was our main server and she was amazing. The food was one of the best and most elevated meals my husband and I have had. Everything we ate or drank was mouth watering. Perfectly prepared and had complimentary flavour profiles. The atmosphere is nice as well.

Ordered the Korean short rib bowl today at lunch for pickup. The server was very nice and tentative. The food however, was very bad. The flavour was overwhelmingly kim chi. And there was only one piece of short rib which was 80% fat. I’ve eaten short rib plenty of times, and more than one piece should be provided if 80% of the meat is fat (and unrendered). For $28 plus tax and tip, it’s certainly not worth the money and this isn’t how you get repeat customers. I’d consider removing this item from the menu.

I used to be a big supporter of the box shop. I will no longer ever set foot inside. If you can support the US wine industry all they care about is getting our money not us as Canadians. Why don’t you move to the US?
