I went here to see if she had a barrel aged feta (life changing people you'll never go back to regular again) and the owner had very little stock she said she's retiring so this is perfectly understandable and I hope she's happy in her new endeavours. The problem came after when she said she'd never heard of this so seemed to insinuate that I was wrong that this exists, that there's only brined and no brine, embarked on an unasked for history of feta and that people put anything on a label to get you to buy it. When I said I had bought it numerous times from other cheese stores and I prefer it, her response was "whatever!" Which is not a professional way to respond to customer or probably anyone. I have included a picture of barrel aged vs not barrel aged feta both in brine from the store I got it from after this to help in her cheese knowledge. It's completely ok not to have heard of this. It's not ok to treat customers poorly. Was originally going to let this go, but after seeing the other reviews I realized this is a common issue and I will probably get and equally unprofessional response to this review which always reflects more poorly on a business than a negative review in my opinion.

Good but not great selection of cheeses, priced slightly on the high end. Very poor customer service (for details, see below). We won't return.--We may have caught the owner on a hard day (one of her fridges had broken that day), but she seemed annoyed to have to deal with customers. Four examples:1) The customer in front of us asked if he could use credit. Instead of being kind or apologetic that they don't accept credit, she complained that she can't absorb the charges that come with them. I don't mind cash-only establishments; just be polite about it (you'll notice in other reviews that mention her rudeness about this, she responds to those reviews with the same lack of grace around the matter that the customer in front of me experienced).2) We asked for a small cut of three cheeses to share for lunch. She said she wouldn't cut them smaller than 100 g because "it's not worth my trouble to cut them and rewrap them." So I asked for the smallest amount possible. She cut me 140 g.3) I asked for samples of three different cheeses. The first she gave me. The second two, she instead described them to me (never saying anything about my request for a sample).4) We ordered a brie that she cut and wrapped without showing it to me. Because it was a square brie, I asked to make sure she hadn't given us the edge with mostly rind. Instead of answering me directly, she said that I can trust how she cuts it and that the rind is part of the enjoyment of brie. The indirect answer worrried me, so I asked if I could see the cheese. She held it up to me, still wrapped. I asked if she could unwrap it. I could tell she was annoyed so I said, "I don't mean to be rude I just want to make sure I know what I'm buying." She replied, "It *is* rude."

A true treasure of Cambridge! If cheese is your thing, you are not going to find a better shop. Every item is carefully curated so you can be confident that you are getting only the best.Wendi is very friendly and knows her stuff. Not only will she recommend the perfect cheeses for your occasion but she can tell you all about where they come from, their processes and their accolades. It's an adventure every time I go - trying recommendations, new arrivals or grabbing some of my newly-familiar favourites.Never disappointed, C'est Cheese Please has become a staple destination for our weekend gathering preparations.

There are some really lovely cheeses, but the process is frustrating. There’s no list of all the cheeses available, and no prices listed. A little board with the available varieties would really help.

We found this lovely specialty shop on the internet and stopped in last minute to see if we could pick up a cheese basket for a hosting gift.Wendi was wonderful and very knowledgeable in all things cheese. She quickly put together a great selection of cheeses and we added a couple bottles of wine, the finished product was a thing of beauty. It was the hit of the party, we will definitely be back for years to come.Thank you Wendy
