We’ve ordered Kheema Biryani naturally expecting a Goat Kheema Biryani but when we’ve received our food, we’ve realized it’s Chicken (small cut pieces) biryani. We’ve called politely asking to replace our order but they’ve denied saying it’s in the menu which I don’t think it’s accurate for any layman’s interpretation.Instead they’ve offered a 50% discount on an another dish which I must again buy basically in order to get the dish which I’ve originally ordered. This is very POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, and if this is the case, I wouldn’t want to visit this restaurant anymore and would highly recommend to check your options clearly in case you are planning to visit and clearly would not recommend this restaurant AT ALL.Thanks!! ?

The food was exceptionally delicious. The server, Veera helped us to choose the right dishes for us and she was very patient in the orders. Methi Matar Malai and Malai Soya Chaap were the star items!!!!Parking: Ample parking for free
Being away from home comes with fresh waves of nostalgia every so often. During these times, places like Chawla's Indian Bistro (693 Coronation Blvd,Cambridge, ON N1R 3G5) come in as a blessing - a delightful eatery based in Cambridge, this bistro combines tradition and innovation in every mouthwatering dish they serve!Hoping to have a variety of vegetarian dishes from their menu, I started the meal with schezwan noodles. A tantalizingly perfect balance of spicy and umami, the dish was only made better with a side of steamy and spicy vegetable manchurian! The tandoori veg momos and paneer tikka worked great as appetizers too - generously-filled momos and tangy, smoky paneer cubes made way for the delicious entree! For the main dishes, I had the chola bhatura - a delicious, flaky fried dough with a spicy gravy and chickpeas, the dish was utterly tasty and filling! The main star of the show was the pani puri - served with 4 flavors (lemon, sweet, mint, and asafoetida), each puri was delightful explosion of taste, perfectly balancing sweet, sour, and spicy notes in a single, irresistible bite-sized snack! While I did not taste them, honorable mentions go to the other dishes served (pictured) as they were reviewed well by other patrons - the tandoori non veg momo, tandoori chicken, chicken 65, and chicken tikka are all worth trying if you're looking for delicious chicken dishes with a spicy marinade!Should you find yourself craving Indian food in the Waterloo Region, Chawla's is certainly the place to go.With a variety of vegetable and HALAL options along with cocktails and desserts, this eatery is definitely worth your while! To hear more about this review, follow us @eatinontario on Instagram, TikTok, & Facebook. ✨??

"Terrible experience at Chawla Indian Restaurant. Went with my family for dinner and waited a painful 50 minutes for our food. The only saving grace was the dal makhni, which was decent. However, the cream chicken, karahi champ, and tomato paneer were disappointingly bad. To top it off, the tandoori roti was half-cooked, and the bathroom was unbearably stinky. All our family got sick next with sore throat and upset stomach.Definitely not worth the time or money and definitely not going back.

Food was very delicious. We had channa bhatura, veg noodles and manchurian. The server was amazing and friendly. Nice place.
I recently ordered a paneer tikka wrap and I must say, it was an extremely disappointing experience. The wrap had absolutely no taste at all, and it felt like I was eating bland, flavorless food. The paneer was dry and lacked any of the promised tikka flavors. The overall quality was below average, leaving me unsatisfied and regretful of my choice. I wouldn't recommend this dish to anyone looking for authentic or flavorful Indian cuisine.

The curry lacked freshness entirely. We ordered kadai paneer, shahi paneer, dal makhni, and roti. There were no positive vibes. With just one server managing tables, reception, and the kitchen, the service was also notably slow. As someone from India, I could easily discern the lack of freshness in the Indian food.
Went to try their signature dish with garlic naan, was quite disappointed it was very bland and no flavors, the only flavor I could taste was black peppers.Washrooms are smelly and dirty.
Food was horrible, not up to standard. I ordered the signature cream chicken dish and it had no flavour. When I told them, they remade it but the new one tasted the same. Bathroom was really smelly and dirty too. Do not recommend. Won’t be coming back.
