Mixed feels right now, first time ordering from this place. We got takeout. So its hard to rate on service and atmosphere. But we got the wonton soup which was different then what I usually get from places with the additional touch of bokchoy. Which I was excited for since Ive been sick I was looking forward to a nice bowl of soup with protein and some veggies. Until I found tiny bugs floating to the surface. Which I get with veggies this can happen but further look at the veggies they looked unwashed and unchecked. Im not going to post a photo out of respect for the small business. But I hope this gives you warn to do more quality control before sending any food out.

I wish I could rate this place lower than 1. I’ve never bothered with making reviews before but when I see staff screaming and chucking kitchen items at each other (which I can see I’m not the only person that experienced a joke of a service that day). The excuse of “management challenges” is just pathetic. how does a high rated restaurant have this much horrible service over the course of a couple months ? My suggestion, whatever you changed go back to it. You can definitely find a good enough pad Thai without fearing of an object hitting you.

I was really shocked and disappointed by what I saw during my visit today. The kitchen staff were yelling at each other and even throwing items, which was completely unacceptable and made me feel unsafe. The atmosphere was chaotic and honestly ruined the experience. No customer should have to feel concerned for their safety while trying to enjoy a meal.The waitress seemed scared and worried, I hope the young lady is okay! I truly hope management takes this seriously and addresses the behaviour immediately. This place has definitely gone downhill the last couple months.

Disappointed! We had to cancel our order because of the misbehaving kitchen staff. The girl at the reception/server was kind and gentle.
Kitchen staff was misbehaving with each other which was all audible in the eating area and made customers uncomfortable. Another customer complained as well. The kitchen staff still continued misbehaving and when it got louder and kept continuing, we decided to cancel our order. The place is cozy and we went with high expectations but left with a terrible experience and no food!

The atmosphere is OK, a nice cozy size, not loud. They're were only about 12 or so people with 2 servers but it took over a half hour to get drinks (waters and pop) and 1.25 hours to get food (noodle bowls and pad Thai). It wasn't just us - everyone there had the same issues and were actually chatting about it between tables. The food was good, the servers were pleasant, but the service horrible. They said they were short staffed, but no excuse as far as waiting that long on drinks with only a dozen people in the restaurant.
It took one hour to get the order. Some customers left because they got tired to wait.

First off, the service was really nice — our server was super attentive and friendly. Mixed feelings about this place overall though. We were excited to try Lao food while in Cambridge for a wedding (Saturday & we’re from Vaughan) and decided to stop by for lunch.
The water tasted off — kind of muggy, not clean-tasting. The Beef Larb ($34) looked great on paper (ribeye with lime, fish sauce, mint, cilantro, and toasted rice powder) but was a bit disappointing — something was missing. The rice tasted like it had been microwaved, the purple onion was overpowering, and the chicken broth lacked flavor. Not worth it in my opinion 😣
The Tom Yum Egg Noodle Soup didn’t have the typical tom yum flavor — a bit unusual but still edible. On the bright side, the Khao Soi and Red Thai Curry were both really good 😌. The Lychee Ginger Lemonade was pretty meh.
The place itself was clean, including the washroom, and the decor was nice. Overall, I’d rate it 3 stars mainly for the great service. I wouldn’t go out of my way to return, but maybe I’d stop by again if I was in the area craving their Khao Soi or red curry.

Truly one of the worst bites of food I’ve had in the region. The new owners have ruined this place. They removed all the fun vegetarian items—we loved that this place had so many interesting vegetarian items. The new owners also didn’t bother to update their website, so we got a babysitter and drove all the way from Waterloo to try their laksa and corn/cheese dip. But when they got there they said they removed those items. All that’s left is red curry and it was awful. The tofu was so overly salty and the curry tasted like plain, bland, coconut milk. What a shame.
