We ordered the appetizer sampler and the Khao Soi. Food was fresh and tasty! We were told there were some changes to ownership so some of the issues stated in the previous reviews should be resolved. Such a cute restaurant with amazing food!

Restaurant decided to switch ownership, apparently overnight. Gave NO notice to current employees anything was happening at all. All of whom have now lost their employment. Will be speaking to the labor board and the BBB about how this situation was handled and lack of accountability on the owners part.

I had a deeply disturbing experience at Choun Kitchen recently. While dining, I clearly overheard the chefs in the kitchen using racial slurs directed towards a server of colour. The food and service become irrelevant when the work environment is rooted in hate and verbal abuse. It was incredibly uncomfortable to witness such blatant racism, and it’s clear there is a systemic issue with the culture in that kitchen. I cannot in good conscience support a business that allows its staff to be treated with such indignity. I will not be returning.

Indoor seating during colder days can be quite drafty. Otherwise, it is a pleasant atmosphere.

Mixed feels right now, first time ordering from this place. We got takeout. So its hard to rate on service and atmosphere. But we got the wonton soup which was different then what I usually get from places with the additional touch of bokchoy. Which I was excited for since Ive been sick I was looking forward to a nice bowl of soup with protein and some veggies. Until I found tiny bugs floating to the surface. Which I get with veggies this can happen but further look at the veggies they looked unwashed and unchecked. Im not going to post a photo out of respect for the small business. But I hope this gives you warn to do more quality control before sending any food out.
