We went there for a family lunch for four. I didn’t like that the debit machine only provided the after-tax dollar amount. I had to ask the server how much it was before tax so I could accurately calculate the tip. Also the debit machine only allowed for giving a % of the after-tax amount for tip, making it hard to calculate. Other than that, the food was pretty good.

The cafe was adequate but the rest of the place is a mixed bag. The washrooms were in horrible conditions and the tables that were used were wobbly and tiny.
Honestly, the service was pretty average, nothing particularly special or memorable. I ended up getting the latte and banana bread.
I was really surprised by how incredibly weak the latte tasted. It was barely noticeable. Furthermore, the banana bread didn't have a very interesting texture. The bread was almost too uniform, and there was barely any variation in the crumbliness. It seemed like it might have been over-beaten.
Overall, it's a place to pick up a book and enjoy the scenery but I would advise going elsewhere for a better brew.

Cute place, has potential. Drinks are overpriced compared to other cafes in the area. There was only 1 person working on a weekday morning around 9:00 am, she could have definitely used some help. She was very irritated and not friendly or welcoming, and I felt more like a bother than a valued customer. (Likely because she was working alone). My americano was ok - didn’t like the paper cup for dine in, seems wasteful.

Dissapointing experience for a first time visit. On any other day we would probably left before ordering as the girl working here didn't even acknowledge our presence for a good minute and a half or so (she saw us come in and the place was empty, just turned around and started counting coffee filters) Then when we did order she showed very little interest in answering (very regular) questions about the menu, I have no idea what was going on there! The panini we ordered was made with regular bread slices and the herbal tea i ordered was actually black tea. I asked about the tea and she told me it was herbal, just very dark! (It was 100% black tea, she just lied) We didn't ask abt the bread bcs it didn't matter that much but caffeine is actually a problem for me. I would never go back here, this was the most ridiculous service I received anywhere. Overpriced also.

Solid cafe in Hespeler Village. A little pricier compared to some cafes in Galt but portions were good. Got the tuna salad sandwich and it was a little strong on the tuna flavour and could use more relish but otherwise it was good. If they could become wheelchair accessible, it would be so much better.

Nice little place but very dissapointed. Got the chicken panini combo with a chai and muffin (they were out of muffins gave me a slide of banana bread instead) and I will say this combo is NOT worth $25 dollars. Panini was made with pre-sliced deli turkey you get at the store and pre shredded cheese with raw red onion and bell pepper, served with a side of stale chips. there was nothing distinguisable from just going to the store buying sliced turkey and cheese and putting it between toast. The chai was not bad though.

Cool vibe with vintage books, right in the heart of Hespeler. Friendly staff, good coffee and just enough seating. Good place to meet up, or work.

Service was brutal. Rang bell when entering, no response. Waited another minute and rang bell again. Lady came out from back and said one minute please. Waited another five minutes and still wasn't served. Me and another customer walked out.

Seemed quaint upon entering, but quickly I found myself wishing I'd made a different choice. Bar style seating is paired with chairs that are too short, especially if doing computer work or reading. Prices seemed a bit high, but I'd be willing to attribute that to the current economy of April 2025. Staff, while polite to customers, speak about other staff rather loudly from their back room. Wouldn't go again, unfortunately. Good luck to them in the future! Would be a shame for an independent cafe to close.
