Great intimate atmosphere for lunch or dinner. We had the daily specials of shrimp stir fry and penne ala vodka. Both wonderfully prepared, generous portions and flavourful. Old fashioned creme brulee was exceptional. Lovely quiet background piano music allowed us to keep our conversations going with ease. Understated decor, open kitchen and attentive staff made for a delightful afternoon. We will be back again for famous omelettes and Caesar salad for Sat brunch too.

The patio is so beautiful and surrounded by flowers. Food is so good, the duck confit is so tasty! The pear salad is fresh and delightful. Lamb is tender, very delicious too. Staff are so nice and friendly! Will definitely come back and highly recommend this gem!

The atmosphere was an issue because my guests and I could hear the Chef loudly complaining for a while that one of my guests didn't want mushrooms with his steak. Very unprofessional.

Very enjoyable brunch with a French flair. Reminds me of our trip to France. The scallops were excellent. The croque madame was very good.

I have been going to Elixzer for several years now and the service and the food has always been fantastic and still is. My favourite is the chicken curry which isn't always on the menu but there are several close seconds being the beef bourguignon or the chicken coq au vin. Will definitely return.

Thanks Jen who made us feel so welcome. The whole atmosphere felt warm and comfy. Portions were large (we had to take some home) and prices were very reasonable. The beef tartar was the highlight.
Best restaurant in Kitchener-Waterloo area!

An absolute gem in the heart of Belmont Village! Elixir Bistro is a culinary treasure that every food lover in the region needs to experience. The menu is a beautiful blend of French cuisine with a delightful Italian twist — elegant, creative, and bursting with flavour.
We started with the beef tartare and escargot with grapes and red wine. I’ve never had escargot so tender — soft and delicate, not chewy at all. Truly unforgettable. For our mains, we enjoyed the veal and scallops Couquilles Saint-Jacques — perfectly cooked and presented with care and finesse. We finished with a classic tiramisu, which was the perfect sweet ending to a spectacular meal.
The chef, who is also the owner, made our evening so special with his warm hospitality and passion for food that clearly comes through in every dish. Elixir Bistro is a rare find, and we feel so lucky to have it here in the region. Can’t wait to return!
This is a gorgeous restaurant with exceptional service and the food is to DIE FOR!
Elixer is a hidden gem. I advise everyone to give it a try. The food is the best in the city. Everytime I go in, the specials are different and the portions are perfection.
The chef there is from Toronto, I used to go to Elixir on Bloor St. and have been following him since.
You do not know what you’re missing. The service, the atmosphere and mostly the food is always 5 stars.
I can’t wait to get there tomorrow for my anniversary dinner. The chef always makes it special.
Was looking for fine dining, and as someone who's been to many upscale restaurants. This one stood out with it's extremely friendly service, delicious and well priced food. A perfect place for a date night. Will be coming back.
We were looking for a restaurant open for lunch, and we passed by Elixir. The waitress welcomed us with a lunch menu and we decided to come in. The dining room is beautiful, with low volume jazz being played. The food was fantastic! We ordered duck confit for appetizer.....Very delicious. Our guests ordered curry shrimp and lasagna with a bechemel sauce, and I ordered Masala chicken with mushrooms and what tasted like a French sauce. So good! We finished with 4 Creme Brule and expresso. Our wonderful waitress came at just the right times. The meal and the conversation made this a special Birthday lunch for me.
