Hey guys just wanted to say I placed an order for takeout on good Friday to have a nice fish and chips lunch with my mother for the first time since she moved to Cambridge. You guys were busy as all hell and I think the system had an issue that caused my order to either not go through or show up (not sure to he honest), but I appreciate you guys doing your best to figure it out and have my order fulfilled (you guys were doing time slots for fish so yeah it was busy).I'd like to say thank you to the gentleman (I'd assume was the owner or gm) and the bartender who took care of me.My mother said that was one of the best fish and chips she's had in Cambridge or anywhere, in a VERY long time.So thank you!It's tough job doing what you guys do, especially certain days of the year. But on this day (and I'm sure in the future) you have two people who appreciated the hard work you guys put in this good Friday. Thanks gator staff! Front of house and kitchen staff alike!

I'm glad we finally made a point of coming in for food and a beer.One of the first things we noticed was the wait staff were so friendly with everyone, like they were all established friends. We soon found that Monica and Victoria treated us the same way. They were outstanding at making us feel welcome. Most of the staff have been there for many years, and it shows in the ownership of what they do. Thank you guys for making it a great Friday night!!The care extends beyond and into the kitchen. The plates of food we recieved were generous (really huge fish w chips) and the cooking was perfect, both fish and wings batters were light and crisp, and not globbed to make the portion look bigger. Both are some of the best we've had anywhere around (I travel a lot).Lastly, the place is (thankfully) divided up into bar and dining areas, both having some booths. We chose a bar booth, which worked out for us because we didn't know there would be karaoke taking place on the opposite side. To each their own, have at er.In closing I can only say they have made regulars out of us, and I highly recommend you try them as well.
We ordered take out tonight and one of the meals was upgraded to a have side argula salad. Unfortunately the salad was missing most of the ingredients and was literally lettuce and two cherry tomatoes, very sad. I called to inform the restaurant and they were very quick to get me off the phone without even taking my name. 100 bucks for 4 meals for takeout is a lot to spend without great service.

Great place. My 9yo and I have toured KW burgers, and we had to go to Cambridge to find out next one.Turns out... not only are the burgers good, but they have an A+ tap list of fantastic Ontario breweries, and the wings, sides (gumbo and sweet potato fries), and service are also great.I had a double burger and it was definitely more restaurant style, less crispy edge smash but was delicious. My daughter enjoyed her's too. A successful trip!Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu with a bunch of options.

Highly highly recommend if you are in the area!! We are from Michigan and this was our first time in Canada. We came here after we checked into our Airbnb and we are glad we did! The food was amazing! I got the fish and chips & my husband got a burger. We came back Saturday for drinks & there was stand up comedy happening. The server was WONDERFUL. Victoria made us feel right at home, gave us a lot of recommendations for the area. Just went above and beyond. They have cider in cans! I tried the peach and the Raspberry Peach once. My husband got Jack and cokes. Can’t recommend this place and their staff enough. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly!

After a truly awful wing night at Montana's on Family Day we decided to give Gator's an opportunity on their Wing Night on a Tuesday. There were four of us in our party and we could not be more impressed. For myself and I must admit I'm a bit of a wing snob, their Buffalo wings without coating are the best I've experienced in South Western Ontario. The wings were large, cooked to perfection and the buttery Buffalo style was perfect. The staff could not have been more attentive and professional.

Although the food is amazing, the service seems to be inconsistent. Last time we were there, we had a lovely waitress and she was extremely nice and attentive but we were seated in the dining area next to a large group of teens who were extremely loud. Before paying our $120+ bill I asked her if she can please go get them to be quiet she told me some of the kids in this loud group of teens were the owners kids, so I said “can you please go tell the owner their kids are being loud and we would appreciate if they could be quiet or I’m going to say it to the group of kids myself” and she told them and then they were quiet. We saw this happen, and the owner was actually sitting right next to the loud group of kids/teens… How could they not hear that their kids were being disruptive? They could, they just didn’t care. Then, last night we went there for a Valentine’s Day dinner, and our server was very inefficient and forgetful. We had to ask him five times to bring things back to the table that we had asked for when we initially placed our order, he kept forgetting things. And then, at the end of our dinner, we asked for a takeout container with our bill, and he only came back to the table with the bill. So, after we paid, my girlfriend had to go interrupt a group of servers that were folding cutlery to ask them for a takeout container since we couldn’t find our server and they looked offended that we interrupted their conversation to ask for a takeout container. My whole point in writing this review is that for 120+ dollars we should receive exceptional service with great food not great food with questionable service. We are regulars and think we should be treated with respect considering we support this local business and genuinely enjoy getting food from there instead of supporting chain restaurants in the local area like Boston Pizza or Chucks Roadhouse.

Came here Friday night and had a great meal. Service was very slow but the server explained they were much busier than usual and she checked on us a number of times.Great beer selection (only gripe would be too many IPAs, 7/14 beers were high ABV IPA's).Food - awesome, will be coming back for the food for sure.Only real let down and why we have to give it 4 stars and not 5, bathrooms were absolutely embarrassing. Just not up to par with the food, I've seen better bathrooms in dive bars.
