Grain of Salt Indian Cuisine

We went to Grain of Salt at Cambridge very first time on Aug 30 2025 . It was really great experience. The food was served nicely by Sachin, Vani and harshi.We ordered vegetable noodles,chicken Pakora as starters abd Daal makhini,, karahi paneer, butter Naan-food was very really delicious.. They made sure every time about the food, is good or need something else while we were eating, and moreover the ambience was so mesmerizing. Me and my husband always preferes very quiet and calm place. Definitely coming back. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Food was so good! I thought the servings were small when they brought the dishes to the table , but ot was packed with meat and each curry had distinctive flavors.

Great food! Great friendly, fast service! We got 3 main dishes to share amongst four of us and there was more than enough food! Lamb Kadai, badami murgi, butter chicken.,mango lassi and masala chai were all so so good. (Excuse my spelling) definitely a great spot for upscale comfort food!

My spouse and I recently dined at the restaurant. We ordered vegetable fried rice with Manchurian, and it was truly delicious one of the best fried rice dish I have ever had. It was neither too spicy nor bland the flavors were perfectly balanced and well maintained. The Baingan Bharta was also excellent. Each time I visit this restaurant, they never fail to surprise me with their consistency and quality. Unlike many other establishments where the taste tends to change over time, Grain of Salt has consistently maintained the flavor and quality of every dish.

We ordered Paneer Hariyali, Noodles, Butter Chicken, Paneer Tawa Masala, and Chicken Salad – and every single dish was absolutely spot on. Flavors were well-balanced, ingredients felt fresh, and portions were satisfying. No complaints at all! We finished all the food as it was so good I forgot to take the pictures.

The place was clean, including the washrooms, which is always a plus. The ambience was very nice – calm, well-lit, and comfortable. Great experience overall.

I’ve been there many times, and it has never disappointed me not even once. I’ve tried the samosa chaat, vegetable jalfrezi, kheer and kadai paneer. All were absolutely delicious. Although the prices are a bit on the higher side, the quality and taste make it totally worth it with good service.

Best Indian food in Cambridge

Went to the restaurant with family for a quick dinner because of its ease of location - near Cambridge central and pleasantly surprised with an amazing service and super delicious food !! Hidden gem. Moderate seating and vibe but oh my god everything was so good and the staff so pleasant. Even the service was super quick with a perfect balance of courtesy and care. Will go again to try different dishes from the menu.
