Great spot right by the river for delicious comfort food. Good portions and good value. Hot dog was really good but I actually (surprisingly) preferred the peanut butter burger!
Only slight mishap was we ordered a chocolate banana milkshake and instead got a chocolate peanut butter milkshake. Not a big deal and it was still delicious but they should be careful as some people could have allergies (obviously not a problem for me based on the burger lol)

Beautiful place to get some fries and a hotdog and sit by the Grand River and enjoy the atmosphere. Lots of parking, Lots of picnic tables, owner/operated I think and very nice people. Very well run. Good prices. Poutine, burgers, sausages etc. Nice condiments for all. You will not be disappointed. Take a walk along the grand. Very picturesque Galt is.

Disgusting human behaviour! L.A.Franks refuses to sell food to you if you are buying it for the homeless! After eating lunch here ourselves, my husband tried to buy a couple homeless ppl a meal. So he went for a short walk down the street and came back with 3 homeless gentlemen so they could pick what they wanted for lunch at L.A.Franks, only for them to tell my husband and the 3 homeless ppl we don’t serve people like that, and refused (to their faces) to let my husband buy them each a meal! My husband explained that he was paying for them, they don’t have to eat it there if that’s their problem. That they had to be kidding! He was just buying a hungry person some food and how could they even want to deny that? They refused and used the excuse that it will attract other people like that to their establishment. Ridiculous, unkind and absolute 0 compassion for your fellow man! Let me add it is an outdoor, walk-up only establishment, there’s no going inside their establishment. There was also 0 other customers there at the time, it would have harmed nobody to let us buy them a meal that they could go somewhere else to eat. I’m glad not everyone treats the homeless like L.A. Franks! Shame on you L.A. Franks!

I’ll never purchase another thing from here so long as this place is open. Shame on the owners of this place. So in humane!

A great destination for families for an evening of food by the river. Lots of options for food other than gourmet hot dogs, including chicken tenders, chicken burgers and hamburgers. A great ice cream selection and their milk shakes are 👌🏼.
They do close earlier on Friday evenings - 7pm, whereas it’s open until 8pm on other evenings.
Can never go wrong with La franks ! Everything on there menu is to die for! It is a bit pricey but so worth every penny!
