Pops and Ruby's was a great experience for the second time out their. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a new pub to try out if like country music and great food to enjoy out on your weekends!!

I just visited again for the first time in a while and was extremely disappointed that they fired the best Saturday karaoke host. The new host is simply not up to par; she lacks the effort and enthusiasm that made the experience enjoyable. If you're looking to do karaoke, I strongly suggest you go somewhere else. Kenny has another karaoke gig—definitely choose that one instead. This place has become unacceptable, and I seriously doubt I will return.

I've celebrated my last 2 birthdays in a row on Saturdays for Karaoke with Kenny. And numerous other events where my group spends a lot of money on drinks here. Not only do the servers over pour, bring you drinks you didn't ask for to run up your tab.. the bar fired Kenny. Karaoke has not been the same since and I won't be back. Which is really upsetting because Saturdays were a big hit that many people loved! I looked forward to this as my favorite thing to do. This was a terrible choice and I don't see the bar doing very well going forward. BRING KENNY BACK. THIS WAS A MISTAKE. He also didn't deserve the way you dropped him without any notice or REAL explanation entirely blindsiding him like cowards- which isn't cool at all! He deserves better. Good luck.

Love kareoke here, been coming pretty regularly for a year now just for kareoke saturdays. New owners seem ok so far. They hired a new bartender and she's aweful. Not sure how she still has a job after she overcharged several people on her first night. Check your bill, unless you like paying $100 for 2 beers. I went to politely inquire about a possible overcharge after hearing about others' and she immediately got hostile and defensive, and continued to mumble under her breathe and fight me even after the owner stepped in. Not the best look on her nor the business.

Went to karaoke and was the worst host ever messing with her equipment and made it crash while a person was singing they should have kept Kenny we as a customer miss him and we won't be back

For the food I received the wrong order when I went to pick it up. As for the service, I was told the food would be ready in 15-20 min ended u waiting 35-40 minutes and the server did not know how to do a return. The Atmosphere smokers standing right in front of the door, not that I can blame this on the restaurant as they cannot police the entrance. Only reason there are two stars is because when the order is right the deep fried dumplings are delicious

I’ve been going to pops for about 10 years off and on and only ever for karaoke on Saturday. I went tonight only to be completely and literally so disappointed. The host has changed and she doesn’t have a clue messing around with the system so much that she crashed it Mid song while someone was singing. The hosts sound system sucks so much feed back it distorts things. While outside the host is sneaking outside drinking in her car and vaping. Barely see her at the table. It was given a chance however I won’t be back again. End of an era. Worst night out.

Great wings and the best poutine around. Kind of a dive bar but the quality of food makes it worth the stop in. Tuesday wing special $9.50/lb wings with drink purchase. Good size wings.
THIS is the place to be!! The music is great, the bartenders are OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! They are very personal and love to get to know you! HIGHLY recommended drinking place!!

I've been to Pops and Ruby's more times than I can count in the last 10 years, but this was the 1st since new ownership, and we were horriblly turned off. It took us 35 minutes to get a drink, and when we finally got to order, the bar tender was spilling almost all of them and just serving them as is. I felt all the rum ended up on the floor because it certainly wasn't in the drink! She was constantly rolling her eyes and talking about us to a colleague (assuming I couldn't hear her) and serving the people she knew before others. We started ordering pitchers of beer, just knowing how long it was going to take between drinks, but that didn't last either because something was horribly wrong with the taste of it. I've also always run a tab here because we generally close out the place. She wouldn't think of it, so between that and the insane amount of time it took to order, we left much earlier than expected. The karaoke was the only reason we stayed as long as we did. Do better, much better.
