Great food. Only disappointment is waitress was too fast in taking back the menu and clearing the plates which seemed like you need to go out fast

They’re a very busy place, and understandably so. During our entire 40 mins visit to the restaurant, we were asked if we were ready to order/ready for a takeout box 4 times, which was not my favourite part of the experience.
The menu has a very interesting selection, and the back kitchen definitely has the competency to make it. The back kitchen looked very clean too, which was great.
For anyone expecting authentic Asian flavours, though, do note that this is more of a retro fusion place. They do a good job tailoring the taste of the dishes towards the preferences of their preferred customers. Everything was too sweet and too much like a retro Asian takeout place for me, but I’m sure they would be just right for those who prefer that kind of thing.

Love this place come here a minimum of once a month!
Prices are fare and the food is authentic and tastes delicious keep up the good work red basil. :)
Taste, portion and price are just right!
The broth of the Hue Style beef soup noodle tasted kind of between originally Hue style soup and the Canton satay, very surprising and tasty.
The fresh rolls with Shrimps & avocado are really fresh, come with a peanut dip.
Will visit again in future.
We really had a nice time at the Red Basil. It was a very relaxed place. The food was very tasty and fresh. The service was fast and friendly. The owner even stopped by our table to check on us. I recommend if you are looking for a casual lunch or supper out.
The best restaurant for many years. They even survived the Covid era.

It was my first time here. Walked in, didn't clearly state to seat wherever I had to ask. It wasn't too busy, so it was quiet and relaxing. The restaurant had a nice upscale feel without the hosh posh nonsense. Food. I got a PHO opt. #27 and a fried spring roll appetizer. I didn't take pics of the sping roll. Ate them too fast! The pho, ugh, how do you describe smell and taste? When I took that first initial sip of the broth, my taste buds lit up! It was incredible! The subtle hint of licorice from the basil was my first note, and it was heaven from there. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal.
This is a nice and affordable place to eat. The food was good, and the server kind.
This is my spot for pho, and they serve duck aswell which many places don't. Have never had a bad experience. Good food for a decent price.
Went to order Pho for takeout. Asked for meat on the side and they refused. They either put it in the broth, or they don't give it to you.
Ive ordered the same thing for years, this is the first time they're not allowing meat on the side. Anyone that has had the soup knows if the meat is on the noodles, it stains the noodles, and if you leave the meat in the broth for too long it turns gummy. I was not impressed that a reasonable request was refused.
The seafood curry is my favourite dish here, while my parents adore the beef ribs and pho. The lychee martinis are outstanding, as are the shrimp rolls dipped in peanut sauce!
