Worst jamaican food ive ever eaten. From toronto and work in the area was craving yawd food and this was not it. Undercooked rice, jerk pork dryer than jerky and boiled dumpling shriveled and dry. Coleslaw only decent thing.

My first time going I ordered a small soup and it cost $8.50 It's worth $6 based on the amount that you get but I have to say the soup tasted so delicious I could see why it was $8.50 I would definitely go back again to try their food.

Wanted to try a new Jamaican restaurant this weekend. Did a quick google search and this place came up decided to give it a try.

Walked it to a bright and clean space, Food was fantastic! Piping hot, flavourful jerk pork (one of the best I've had outside Jamaica) The curry roti and oxtail dinners were also yummy! Will definitely be back again.

- Probably the best Jamaican patty I've ever had! I highly recommend their beef patties.
- The goat roti (boneless) portion was huge (enough for 2 light eaters) and tasted wholesome.
- Pricing is great.
- Fast service.

I stopped by Soul Island Kitchen while working in the area after reading some great reviews. I was in the mood for a simple patty on a bun — something that’s usually flavorful and comes with at least a bit of sauce or coleslaw.

I paid $6.50 for it and even added a 15% tip, expecting a solid bite. Instead, I was handed a patty and a bun separately — not even assembled. I had to ask them to split the bun and put the patty in.No sauce, no condiments, nothing to bring it together. Just dry and plain.

The customer service didn’t help either — no warmth, no real effort to make the experience feel welcoming. Honestly, for the price, it felt like poor value all around.

I was hoping for better, especially based on the reviews, but I left disappointed. Not likely to return.

Lunch specials are amazing. The jerk chicken has the perfect spice level, beans and rice are on par. Soul Island never disappoints! Great food!

I ate here for the first time today and I already know I'll be back tomorrow. The staff were super nice, the lunch special was a great price and size, and the food (jerk chicken today) was fall off the bone delicious! Excited to try the other items on the menu!

Well first time I ever bought Oxtail with pasta penne OMG I give it 💯 the Sauce was Amazing the meat everything l normally buy curried chicken but was my Favorite good job to the chef

Thoroughly impressed all around.
The coco jerk supreme aka the rude boy as my fiance calls is... the flavors were perfect and on point. Every bite was perfect in temperature, and freshness. The gentleman who helped us made some great recommendations and everything was delicious! 10/10

Ordered uber, best Roti I’ve had in a long time. Fresh, and fast. Amazing!

We pulled in not knowing how this place would be. The tastiest, fresh and delicious jerk chicken and coleslaw on a coco bun sandwich, real Irish Moss drink served by the loveliest two gentlemen. Great conversation about old school tunes and times, will definitely return if in this city again! Bonus point - very clean washroom. Thank you Soul Island!👌
