Thought I'd try this Chinese food spot to support local restaurants. Walked in and was greeted by another customers dog. Why are there animals in a restaurant? Thought that was really weird. Ordered a combination platter c10. Chicken balls, soo guy and plain chow mein for $14.95. Got home and there was 4 small chicken balls, maybe 5 pieces of soo guy and the rest was just chow mein. Super small portion for the price. Many other Chinese food places give you way more food for the same price. Food was bland and not worth the money. Definitely will not order food from here again

We were not impressed at all. Shrimp and egg rolls were extremely burnt. The "shrimp" was so bad that there was no shrimp left inside the batter. My husband's dish was covered in 2 different sauces which mixed together and made everything soggy. The soo guy gravy had no taste. We will not order from here again.

I didn’t enjoy any of the food we ordered, didn’t meet my Chinese food expectations, looks like they just reheated the food and pack. I am trying to support local family owed restaurant but this is what I get, I was looking into the reviews and I found a good rates but I think it was scam. Wasted 70$

? Food portions are okay.? We had this delivered into our house and the lady is such a sweetheart.? Food is good.

Prefacing this review by saying it's based on one item. Had an order of Cantonese chow mein, which is good according to the reviews. I'm not sure if they were high at the time, but this is the most bland thing I've ever tasted. The noodles are supposed to be pan fried - they aren't. The BBQ beef has no flavour and is super dry. Same with the chicken and shrimp. It tastes like someone intentionally removed flavor to be honest. It is shocking. Instant noodles taste better, no exaggeration. Shout out to all the people who can't taste anything, I hope you are one day cured of your affliction.

I will start with a positive. The best spring rolls I’ve ever had. Crispy, freshly made, and huge. It’s too bad the rest of the food didn’t match up. The wonton soup had no flavour at all. It tasted like water. The beef and broccoli had very little beef and very little flavour. The fried rice tasted ok but the texture was all wrong, as it was very mushy. Overall I had high hopes from that spectacular spring roll but the rest was a disappointment.

Though I wish they had more diversity in their menu, the food is incredibly fresh and tastes amazing. I only went to this place for the first time recently based on Google reviews. I was not disappointed. Fried rice is really good here. Nothing was overly greasy, thank you for the food!

Just ordered take out for the first time. It was amazing! The breading on shrimps and Chicken was so good - not dry or tasteless.Singapore noodles had perfect amount of spice and good sized shrimps. All vegetables we perfect temperature and not soggy at all.The honey garlic spareribs were worthy of Webster's.Fair price and generous portions. Will be our new go-to place to order Chinese food in Cambridge.

I wouldn't give 5 starts. There was nothing special about the food. The fried rice was the worst I have ever had in my life. It just had a few pieces of chicken with tasteless over cooked rice and nothing else. The beef low mein wasn't bad. Their chicken meatballs were nice. But definitely not 5 starts. It was more like a mall food court Chinese food.

For 20 years, Silver China was our favourite restaurant and then, 10 years ago, it was sold. It went from 5 to 1 ⭐ quicklyWhen I noticed the name change, I was in no hurry to try it. The original restaurant had chicken balls & lemon chicken made from fresh breast and light crispy batter.. the egg rolls were hand made in the restaurant too.For 10 years, we've measured every Chinese restaurant we've tried against the Silver China and although we've found good ones, they weren't quite as goodToday, I tried Sun Wui and during the call, I mentioned we hadn't eaten there recently and I was told the owners from 10 years ago bought it back! It's even better than we remembered. I'll never understand how they can sell the chicken balls for less than the price all the gorgeous breast meat in them... it's something we joked about years ago. The Cantonese chow mein is perfection and the egg rolls are the best in town. The prices are too reasonable for the quality. Can't recommend this restaurant any more highly ... I'm literally texting friends who used to love the Silver China to give them the news
