I visited this location this morning while my husband had a day operation. The staff there were is at all so friendly and we had a chatted about nostalgic candy, which was brought up after I was drooling over their beautiful pastry display and asked about the limited time Canadian donut . I even purchased 2 different baked goods because I couldn’t decide on one because they all looked amazing. My coffee was also the best Tim’s coffee I have had in a long time. CMH is lucky to have this wonderful staff to brighten both patients and staffs day.

I generally have positive experiences at this location, and I truly appreciate the consistent quality and friendliness of the staff. However, I wanted to share some feedback from this past Sunday that I hope will be taken in the spirit of constructive appreciation.

During my visit, I waited in line as usual, which I understand can sometimes be busy. What stood out to me was that the staff were gathered in one corner of the store, engaging in conversations in a language other than English. While I fully respect their right to speak with each other and understand that staff need breaks too, I believe that during busy times, guest service should be a priority.

Despite this, I want to highlight a wonderful moment that truly made my day. A kind baker with glasses—whose name I didn’t catch—noticed our wait and kindly called for assistance from other staff. She then surprised me with a freshly made donut from the back, served with a warm smile, and wished me an amazing day. Her genuine kindness and enthusiasm left a lasting impression, and because of her, I will definitely be returning to this location.

I also attempted to thank her in person later that evening, but she had already left. Staff told me her name was Olivia. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Olivia, who was unaware that my husband had recently passed. Her kindness and caring attitude meant more to me than I can put into words. It’s a beautiful reminder of how small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

Thank you, Olivia, for your warmth, your kindness, and that delicious donut. Your actions made a difficult day a little brighter for me, and I hope this message reaches you. You truly deserve recognition, and I hope to see you again soon.

I overheard a front desk guy named Byron talking about Quantum Mechanics, seemed like whoever he was talking about it to really appreciated it. Byron also suggested a killer drink to me, 5 star service.

Stood in line, until I was called by an female indian employee. Before she took my order, an indian male approached out of nowhere, spoke to her in their language then told me step aside so he could pay. I just walked away. Stuff like this contributes to prejudism.

I ordered a small tea with one milk. I watched the employee ( the shorter, rounder lady who wears bandanas) pour a very large amount of milk in my cup. I’m a kind and easy going, person but I asked if I could please have less milk. Her response was to get a fresh cup which she threw on the counter with a loud angry sound before picking it up and making the tea. She was very unkind and made me feel as though what I had politely asked was out of line. As I walked away with my husband, I actually felt a tear roll down my cheek. People in hospitals are already in vulnerable positions. They don’t deserve to be treated with such disrespect.
