Bought a knotty pine buttered almond cupcake today and was disappointed. As someone who worked at the Pine for years, I can say with 100% certainty - this doesn't resemble the buttered almond cake in the slightest. The beauty of that cake was that it wasn't overly sweet. The cupcakes were moist and expertly made, I particularly enjoyed the black forest cupcake which has a soft whipped cream. They had a good selection of different flavours, everything we tried was delicious.
