Our lunch was ok. The beef chili tasted more like tomato soup with red kidney beans. And the half sandwich With soup presentation was very sad. Maybe if you’re delivering soup and sandwich separately(ordered together) you could put a slice of orange or pickle with it? Just a suggestion

Stumbled upon Toasters Family Diner at 1531 Eagle St N in Cambridge during a busy weekend, and it turned out to be an absolute gem for my first visit. As a local entrepreneur juggling multiple businesses, I appreciate spots that deliver real value without breaking the bank, and this diner nailed it perfectly.
The menu offers hearty classics like the Classic Breakfast for just CA$13.99—three eggs with bacon, ham, or sausage, served piping hot and generously portioned. I went for the Triple Combo at CA$21.99, which piled on three eggs, three pancakes, and sausage links; it was more than enough to fuel my day of meetings. Even burgers range from $11 to $25, making it a moderate $$ spot that’s unbeatable for family-style Canadian comfort food. Portions were massive, flavors spot-on with fresh ingredients, and everything screamed homey diner vibes without the tourist markup.
Service was friendly and quick—our server remembered my coffee refill without prompting, and the casual atmosphere with parking lot access felt welcoming for a quick bite near my Cambridge mortgage office. No frills, just solid food at prices that leave your wallet happy; I paid under $25 for a full meal including tip. Highly recommend for breakfast or lunch—will be back soon with the team. If you’re in the Waterloo Region, skip the chains and hit Toasters for genuine value and satisfaction!

I need to say this.
The food is great and abundant.
But the people!!! Are tremendous.
My son, who lives with autism, has stopped by here so many times he is a regular. He is always greeted warmly and treated with the respect he deserves.
Today, his electric scooter died and needed a recharge. They didn't hesitate to let him plug in for 30 mins.

You guys are simply the best for so many reasons.

Went for breakfast here and have to say the prices are amazing for the amount of food given the service is in and out, super fast, friendly and efficient!!! Had a great meal, left full and would return over and over again! was quite busy on a Saturday mid morning (as to be expected) but we didn't have to wait for a table would recommend for a tasty homemade, delish and filling breakfast or lunch they are closed at 3pm daily
