Walked in and sat down with my family. The cook told us to hold on as she went to get the waitress as she was cleaning the bathroom. Then waitress had come out of the bathroom to take our order.( didn't see her wash her hands but we were hopeful she did...We ordered 3 milkshakes. After about 3 minutes the smell in the restaurant got so bad that we had to ask for our milkshakes to go and didn't place our food orders. It was the smell of backed up sewage. We were so disgusted. We ended up going to the wimpys on Homerwatson in Kitchener. It was nice and clean and smelled like a restaurant cooking food. Unfortunately the other location was out of their famous hamburgers.. Definitely disappointed with the wimpys diner franchise 😒

Love this location. They have highchairs which is nice. Other locations only have booster seats. Only thing was… highchair was disgustingly sticky. Like wouldn’t wipe off sticky. Good was delicious. Service was fantastic. Just can’t get past the stickiness of the highchair to be able to give it full 5 stars.

Went out with Hubby for breakfast and we will definitely be returning to this particular Wimpys diner on Hespeller Road in Cambridge, Ontario because the food, service and the atmosphere were all five stars.
Surprisingly, for a diner with such a varied menu, customers told us that the restaurant nails menu choices every time.
The restaurant has many regulars for a reason!

Also, we enjoyed sitting in a cozy booth which is sometimes hard to find these days. Many restaurants have removed their booths offering more seating that reminds me of a school cafeteria. Wimpys diner offers regular seating and booth seating for a more intimate experience

I have been here in the past and today was a total shock the service was terrible and the food was tasteless. Also it felt like if you had a complaint you better not voice it to the server. The potatoes were half cooked and the toast was tough as nails. The person with me was so upset that they said if the food isn’t here in 5 minutes they were leaving after waiting for more than 30 minutes for the food. Well that is a new place added to my list of places to avoid. Never going back there.
Always a great place to eat, the food is amazing, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Joanne always makes our day special with her big smile and happy nature. 😊
