Lots of easy parking. Excellent location. Just a couple minor notes with the food, nothing drastic...
Excellent staff, and the owners and staff are exceptionally friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and ensure all that you would like is met. The main menu is tasty and well prepared. Meat is tender, and the vegetables are cooked properly. The salad bar, offers a wide selection, overall is excellent, and is offered at a lesser cost as a meal which I think is great, but would like to note too much dressing in the strawberry-spinach salad and potato salad. The last two times the soup was good, but am not sure it was prepared from scratch. The buns seemed like they came from packages from a store shelf. Not homemade or bakery made.
The fruit pies seemed to be made from the can and a tad too sweet...and the crust wasn't bad, but could use improvement.
There was no selection of gluten-free or at least wheat-free desserts, nor gluten-free or wheat-free buns or bread. Gluten-free/wheat-free desserts are extremely easy to make and no longer cost an arm and a leg to provide. (Also most gluten-free and wheat-free products offer some nutrition today.) Or, gluten-free/wheat-free desserts can be ordered wholesale from a bakery, like St. Anne's for instance.
All-in-all it is a great place to eat, and in today's market of exorbitant prices and little-to-no value for the costs...Chubby's is refreshing and an exception, and is excellent value for the money. Highly recommended.
Dietary restrictions: Could provide gluten-free or at least wheat-free desserts and buns and breads.

We had friends bring us here for dinner and it was a great experience 💯. The food is all homemade, and you can taste the difference. We'll be back, and I would recommend trying them out.

Was at Chubbys for Thanksgiving dinner Sunday night and was disappointed in overall experience. Salad bar potato salad very dry, ceaser salad bowl almost empty when went to salad bar. As for main course serving of turkey was good, serving of potatoes, beans, turnip and gravey small. didn't like the dressing at all. Barely got much of anything, using very small scoop to put on plate, had to ask for more. Lumps in turnip and potatoes. I have always loved going to Chubby s. , Feel there should of been a second choice of meat, and more dessert choices. First time I haven't enjoyed my experience there.

This is a wonderful, old-style, home-style country buffet. The service is wonderful too. The buffet offers many many salads, with the old familiar 1970's Canadian picnic salads like 6-bean, macaroni, potato, marinated mushroom, ham & pasta, jello & marshmallow, beet, cottage cheese.... as well as Caesar, spinach and crab salads. You can start with soup of the day and a bread roll, fill up on salads, and then go on to the main course. There was roast beef and chicken, Brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes with gravy. I'm not much of a dessert person but the dessert table was full of at least six different pies! And they offered ice cream as well. The space seems perfect for a quiet table of two by the window or a huge gathering in the middle. In many ways, it's like going back to my childhood family reunions!

A very tasty homecooked meal. Friendly and helpful service. Soup, salad bar, and great dessert selection.
Vegetarian options: No vegetarian options. Set menu for main dish.
Kid-friendliness: The customers are mainly seniors. Well-behaved children would be fine, but would likely be quite bored.

We went here for first time tonight and will definitely be back. We've heard great things about this mom and papps restaurant and had to finally check out. Atmosphere was great, not rushed out door. Highly recommend 🙂
Although Mike didn't sing happy birthday we still had a great time.
Wheelchair accessibility: The bathroom is upstairs so no wheel chair access.
