I had a very disappointing experience at A&W Casselman. First, the food was completely tasteless—lacking the quality and flavor I usually expect from A&W. On top of that, the entire place had a strong, unpleasant smell, almost like acid, which made the experience even worse.
To make matters worse, the staff refused to accept a valid coupon simply because I wanted to swap the chicken for a Beyond Meat patty—even though I was willing to pay extra for the substitution. It felt unreasonable and inflexible, especially for a chain that promotes plant-based options.
Overall, this visit was frustrating, and I won’t be returning anytime soon.

After a year of frequenting this location I've come to agree with 90 percent of the bad reviews. I don't know what management is doing.. but this ain't it.
Today was the tipping point. Walked in, waited a few minutes, then had my opportunity to order. Started off for my boy, then myself. Asked for 2 buddy burgers, plain. And a papa w cheese meal.
Fellow didn't ask me for a flavour, didn't worry as I'm standing here in store, they likely will just ask when it's time to fill it.. I naively thought.
Neither were entered correctly, and then when I asked to correct this, young guy at the counter proceeded to overcharge me for the meal upgrade by punching in a drink and fry alone, rather than the initial ticket price that the papa cheese meal costs.
The whole reason there is a meal combo is because you save on the 3 items as a combo!! - Not so I can re order it after for more money!
Now for the buddy burgers, I asked for plain.. and got the most saucy slippery buns I ever have had laid my hands on. There was more Mayo, fried onions, mustard and ketchup than there was the actual retail space on the buns and meat combined. It was oozing sauce. Not exactly plain.
I'd rather talk to a robot than order through this kid again, and that says alot.

I typically enjoy coming here and being able to have A&W in my hometown, but I went to treat my girlfriend on July 6th at 7pm. I walk up to go in and there's a sign saying the the dine-in is closed due to short-staff. Unfortunate, but no problem, I understand the staffing issue in this town. I then went to the drivethrough and the staff member working tells me: "sorry the restaurant is closed" so I wasted my time and gas just for a staff member that is present during working hours to tell me he can't serve me. I wish I had a better explanation than "short staffed".
