I had high expectations for this cute little place. They basically remodeled an old church into a restaurant. The booths are old pews, the original balcony and piano were still there and there was a ton of cool decor.

The cute stopped there. After an appropriate amount of time the waitress came and took our simple orders (2 coffees, bacon and eggs for one of us and bacon, eggs and a pancake for the other) We got our coffees and waited....then waited some more. We looked around and there were only 2 other tables with people, also waiting for food....

30 minutes went by, and still no food. We could tell the other people were looking around too. At the 35 minute mark the waitress came and asked if we wanted more coffee, but we found it odd that she didn't apologize for the delay or offer a reason for why bacon, eggs and a single pancake was taking so long.

At the 50 minute mark we decided to leave (we did have somewhere we wanted to be and thought we'd be in and out within an hour or so)

We paid $6 for our 2 coffees and left. So I can't tell you if the food was any good. The waitress did apologize as we were leaving and said that the cook was new.

Great diner food in a converted country church!
Omelette is a good 20% tastier than the usual chains. Eggs were really well prepared in general. Really neat atmosphere!

A very quaint, out-of-the-way restaurant built into an old church. The coffee was hot and the breakfast was delicious! They also bake fresh donuts, which are fantastic. I would highly recommend this on a nice morning out.

We love taking the kids there early on Saturday morning and letting them pick out a doughnut 🍩. Staff are always super friendly and kind. Worth the drive!

Took family here for breakfast and it was great.

We absolutely love Shelly’s for the wonderful service, delicious homey food, and beautiful atmosphere. The Christmas decorations are always over the top and are entertaining just to walk around to look at. We have been going here for years and enjoy the takeout dinner which they now do on Fridays. We recently hosted a baby shower for family including a “high tea” service and the attention to detail was impeccable. Everyone enjoyed the food, tea (we all got our own pot), and it was an event to remember. Thank you so much to Shelly and her team. We will always be big supporters and will continue to bring our family and friends for our breakfasts out! Wednesday mornings are always a special treat with live music.
