⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Yardie Vibez – Chatham-Kent, Ontario
First things first, I happened to be in town for the weekend visiting my brother at his new apartment. While visiting, he mentioned a small restaurant that, in his words, served “the best Jamaican cuisine.” Considering we’re both half Jamaican, I had to give it a try—and I must say, I have no regrets!
From the moment we walked in, the service was great 😊. The décor and atmosphere had a chill, relaxed vibe (hence the name, lol). The staff were very welcoming, and the place was spotless from top to bottom.
Now, onto the food… my first bite made me feel like I was back on the island of Jamaica itself 🏝️. I had the jerk chicken and curry goat dinner with rice and peas, plus some side beans that were glazed in a sweet, smoky BBQ sauce. The meat was tender, juicy, and full of flavour—the spice was on point, and that smokiness in the jerk chicken hit with pure nostalgia.
My favourite part of the meal, though, was the crispy yet flaky spicy beef patty stuffed with oxtail and mac & cheese 🧀. That right there… love at first bite. The juiciness of the oxtail combined with the creamy, cheesy mac & cheese was absolute perfection 😋
Before I left, I had the pleasure of meeting the owners and made sure to let them know how mouthwatering 🤤 their food was. Overall, this place was amazing, and the only downside I can think of is that I live over two hours away. Looks like my brother will be seeing me visit more often in the near future!😂
If you’re ever in Chatham-Kent, Yardie Vibez is a must-try. Highly recommend — 5/5! 🇯🇲🔥

Best food in Chatham!
Overall I'd say it is one of the best ones from toronto south. We tried the oxtail, jerk chicken, pineapple chicken and festivals. For my personal choice the oxtail was a bit sweet for my liking however was still cooked beautifully and the jerk chicken was good as well just a little more spice for myself (again this is a personal preference nothing to knock on the chef!). We wanted to try out a few different things but they did not have stock unfortunately. Hoping to try the rum cake next time around! Only reason I gave the lower count on atmosphere is that there was no music on We had asked they turned it on but was classic rock :( Keep grinding the good vibes! We will be back !

Asked if mushrooms were in the curry the lady at the counter just laughed at me, don’t laugh at paying customers, there is a 3.50 charge to use credit card why? Curry chicken was filled with bones had I known that I would have gotten something else, maybe let first time trying Jamaican food I’m sure culturally it’s good and I hear lots of good things about hardy vibes but my food was terrible and the service wasn’t good I don’t want to be laughed at when trying a new restaurant when asking a legit question…will never dine here again

Stopped off here on our way back to Toronto and food was incredible! The eggrolls were so so so good! We had the jerk pulled pork, jerk chicken and the barbe-fried chicken. All were excellent but the jerk chicken was the stand out. So flavourful. Will definitely be back if in the area again!
Everytime I visit Canada I **HAVE** to come here, I live in the states and this is by far my favorite Jamaican food ever.
The oxtail with rice n peas + steamed veg is my favorite
Tried the loaded patty today and it’s too good.
The woman at the counter makes the experience that much better with her fantastic personality and customer skills.
If you ever get a chance. Try the food, have a redstripe and enjoy your time.
Great food great service and beautiful flavors that excite the taste buds
