If I could give 0 stars, I would. We came in and asked if a couple of tables could be put together, but were told that wasn’t possible. No problem — we then asked if we could sit at one table while our 14-year-olds sat at the one right beside us (we were 3 couples). The waitress said that was fine and took our drink orders.
When she came back, she told us that management had decided we had to sit with our kids. At that point, the restaurant had filled up, and they still wouldn’t allow us to sit how they had told us would be ok in the first place. Our kids were quiet and seated directly next to us, yet they still refused to accommodate us in any way.
We paid for our drinks and left immediately. The entire situation felt unprofessional and very unwelcoming. We went to a Chinese restaurant afterward and received great service there — a complete contrast.
I will not be recommending Parallel 49 to anyone passing through Cochrane.

Does this seating policy apply only to organized hockey teams, or does it apply to all minors, including regular 14-year-old guests who may simply be dining with friends for a birthday or casual outing?
For example, if my teen and a few friends (not part of a team) were to dine at your restaurant, would they be asked to leave or required to return with a parent or guardian?
I appreciate your clarification so we can understand how the policy is applied to all guests.

Was in town for hockey tournament (u15) was told my son (13)could not site with his team mates had to site with parents and couldn’t put tables together. (Kids were being respectful)Therefore left and went to a restaurant that repeated us and our kids.

We went there, 4 families with our teenagers. We asked if parents can sit together and teenagers at a separate table right beside.
Waitress said no problem.
We ordered our drinks and got our menus to order.
Shortly after, the waitress came back to delay we need parents to sit with our kids ( teenagers ).
We asked why and waitress said then manager.
All that to say, not sure what kind of policy they have, but ridiculous - they just lost a huge order, respect and most important, returning customers.
Go to Chinese Place instead 🙂

Had a great meal here. Fast service and the young lady taking care of our table was very friendly and gladly answered question we had about the area.
The wings are really small like 2 inches And we’re not cooked properly Waitress was constantly on her phone Not paying attention to the customers requiring service The food was better before previous owner

Stopped on a roadtrip for dinner here and we were so surprised when we walked in. Such a quaint atmosphere with locals and open concept. I got The chickens tender bacon mac & cheese and boy was i blown away. Servings that would last for lunch and dinner the next day. Delicious food with such a Smokey taste from the bacon. The fried pickles were fresh dipped and fried with a dill dipping sauce that was so ressemblent of tzatziki. Absolutley recommend

All I can say is wowzers! We started with a frosty beverage, then added the appetizer 😋 sorry I dug in before I took a pic to review! 😂 I couldn't help it though it was sooooooo dang delicious! Our main dishes were out of this world delicious 😋 Service was fabulous 👌 it's my #besties fav spot, and I totally get why! It's definitely a local treasure 🩷
