Very busy place but there's so much to do! It's a really great place to rest on a road trip. Lots of food options, things to see in and outside, animals in the summer, there's a mutt run for doggie breaks open year round (enclosed dog park), and tons of delicious treats.
I must shout out to the kitchen for the delicious sandwich I had - a bacon grilled cheese on apple bread. It was SO GOOD!
I also had an apple spice churro which was yummy.
Vegetarian options: I definitely saw a veggie burger option, but there are other vegetarian options like grilled cheese, poutine, etc
Parking: Be careful - lots of pedestrians!
Kid-friendliness: Lots for kids to do and see
Wheelchair accessibility: There is an accessible ramp up to the store.

So big and full choice of apple food and also gifts of all kinds and even souvenirs of the place. Tasting on site. One side is candy alcohol, there's really a choice. The stop is worth it. It's hard to go out with just one bag. English store

We recently visited The Big Apple on our way back to Toronto from Kingston. We had a terrible experience with the service. I waited in line for my food for about 25 minutes because the staff did not give me the right order. After I received my food, I had to walk through the store with all of my food, then line up with my food for another 30 minutes. I also had a coffee with me that I couldn't drink because I was holding my tray with two hands. So, the food was getting cold, the coffee was getting cold and my family was in the car wondering what was going on, but I couldn't text them since I was holding the tray! Once I got to the cash, the cashier had to punch in the prices/codes of things, rather than scanning them and she also had to put "paid" stickers on some of the items which also took a lot of time. Needless to say, we will not be stopping there again! It was definitely a put off.

A great place to stretch you legs. Good for families and pet owners. EV chargers on site don’t work. Food and fresh apple pies are yummy and worth taking one back home!

Really great place for families! There are free things to do like the petting zoo which we had a great time at. We had an apple pie which was really great too since there are coupons. We spent way more time than we imagined since we were having so much fun

The name says it all: The Big Apple! Everything was apple-theme: pies, fritters, doughnuts, and more. The whole place smelled like baked apples. Loved the experience and the building. It’s totally worth a visit. There’s a seating area at the back where you can enjoy your cakes.

A bit of a tourist trap and very kitschy, but for sure the apple pie was full of fruit and was deep.
When we went, they were out of ribs and wings and pulled pork, so we had to make do with the sandwiches. The apple bread was another revelation. Really good.
We ended up buying several things, including lots of gluten free desserts. The major complaint I had was that the meals were at the center, but the payment was at the main cashier so there was a bottleneck. The tables were after the cashier.

This is an absolute must stop when passing by on the 401! Their apple break grilled cheese is to DIE FOR!!! They have an awesome apple shop with all sorts of cool food products. There’s even a sweets shop and Christmas shop! Theres so much to do and it’s a great break in driving too!
Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly! Lots of kids activities. The store inside is busy, will want to keep an eye on them.

I have been traveling regularly in Ontario for over 10 years and have never stopped. Certainly it will be a stop on my next visits.
Very varied and tempting apple products, smoke house on site. In summer there seems to be a mini farm.
We tasted the apple and blueberry fritters as well as the freshly squeezed apple juice (cider) it was excellent ?

very misleading, all the apples were regularly sized. never going back.
My husband and I were on our way to Belleville when we saw the sign for Big Apple along the highway. So, we popped into the store. Though the other attractions (such as the Petting Zoo, other food vendors) were closed for Winter, the actual store was still open. It's a pretty good store for apple-related food stuff. We bought a Mumble Crumble Apple pie, Apple Pocket, Spinach & Cheese puff, Leek puff, Apple bread pudding and Apple caramel tea. They had many more on sell such as apple bread, apple donuts, apple candy. All freshly made. Tasted good as well.

Great atmosphere with products that are always delicious every time you visit, plus a discount for truckers, which I love. My dog also likes the large grounds and the dog park where he has great encounters too.
