Always excellent food and service.

April, our server today is great.

One of our favorite spots to grab a bite.

Vegetarian options: Lots of good food options

Food was disgusting, potatoes were old and the servers kept saying they were “fresh, made today” when they had a grey tone they gave us a second batch of the same potatoes. Got the eggs benedict was the worst one I’ve ever had. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

We were greeted and seated by April; in our opinion she set the tone for our visit and late luncheon. She readily suggested any of the soups and the daily special: a Reuben. We’re glad we took her advice! I could go on about the sweet dressing against the sour bite of the slaw, the perfect bread, and the hefty portion of meat…but suffice it to say, it was a superb sandwich, and that both soups we tried (I had the Mulligatawny, husband had the potato Stilton) were so hearty and flavourful we wanted to lick the bowls! We also taste-tested the Caesar salad and mushroom crostini (which would have made the grade at any upscale spot) for a portion of the price! Two house-made desserts (carrot cake and 4 layer chocolate cake) that were garnished with REAL whipped cream - YES! real whipped cream, completed our meal. Conclusions: you won’t leave hungry as portions are generous. You will enjoy home-cooked favourites done to perfection. You will enjoy the ambience (historic exposed brick and tin ceilings) and easy vibe that comes from growing a business for 38 years in the same spot and knowing your customers. You will also pay a fair price. And I’m betting you’ll be back.

Potatoes that came with sandwiches were bland. The sandwiches were mediocre and well over priced.

Jerk chicken mango salad was worth the drive. My Mother had clam chowder and salmon salad and said both were extremely good. Our Waitress was super friendly and lovely and the local artwork displayed is fun
Will definitely be back

Ordered a freshly squeezed orange juice and to my horror found a dead cockroach in my juice! 🤮
I did not make a scene, just quietly mentioned it to the waitress. Then I ordered a Western sandwich, but instead the waitress brought a western omelette. I told her it was wrong, but she argue with me and did not offer to replace the order. Just warning for the others, the place is filthy and it’s harbouring pests. Stay away!

Duncans remains consistent with food quality, & taste. The service and atmosphere is always pleasant. Their Mulligatawny soup & Thai Pork rolls, are my all time favorites. If you are ever in Collingwood, be sure to stop by Duncans, grab a a tasty bite and say hello to Jessica Terry & Shelley.

Came in for lunch, portions were big enough for supper.

I had the Montreal smoked meat with a side of potato leak and Stilton soup. My wife had the chicken club pita.

The soup was amazing, next time I’ll just have a bowl of that. Smoke meat was piled high and came with a really nice Dijon.

My wife’s chicken club was also real good, with two chicken breast making it a very filling meal.

Will definitely come back to try the dinner menu.

We stopped there yesterday for a late lunch and it was delicious! I had the butternut squash soup and my husband had portobello mushroom ravioli, and they were both wonderful. We’re picky foodies, and this place is one of the very few that has ever made us really happy about our meal. Congrats to the chef and to the great staff. We’ll be back the next time we make it to Collingwood!
