Discovered Fish & Sips while visiting Collingwood and stopped by based on the reviews.
I was not disappointed. The cod and chips (with mushy peas) was excellent. The cod was perfectly cooked - crispy batter and flaky, tender fish - and the chips were delicious. The best fish and chips I have had outside of the UK!
Service was great and the indoor seating area spacious and comfortable. I look forward to visiting again.

We have been dining at Fish & Sips since moving to the area. It is my favourite restaurant in Collingwood. The fish is fresh with great taste and texture. I never order fish and chips elsewhere as I think I would be disappointed. All the menu items are very good and reasonably priced. Good, fast and pleasant service as well.

Finally tried this place out. Tried the Halibut and poutine, wife had the Halibut and greek salad. Food was delicious. Only complaint is the portion for the fish seems to be really undersized compared to what you get in Toronto for the same price. Flavours were there, just over priced for portion sizes in my opinion.

Ordered the Halibut dinner for takeout. This is not our first time eating here and we know what to expect. We did not want to leave a negative review so we called to speak to the restaurant to let them know the halibut was very fishy and tough to chew. Maybe the fish was off?? They justified it by saying they can't cut fish fresh everyday and that if you get an end piece expect the chewiness that we experienced. That was it...for $ 25, one piece of fish n chips....I would be weary because we were very disappointed and didn't feel heard when voicing our concerns.
Edit - Thank you for your explanation. It's unfortunate that your employee didn't hand the phone to you when I called knowing I was unhappy. I called within 10 mins of picking up my order. I am now heading home as I was visiting from out of town and I am unable to come back. I was honestly so excited to return to your restaurant. All the best

We had a lovely lunch at Fish and sips. It was our first time there. We ordered the traditional halibut And chips and the cod and chips. Great place I loved the vintage Ketchup bottles and spray bottle for the Malt Vinegar. Genius. Tanya was our server she was very quick and kind. We will visit again in the future .loved the decor 👌

It was between this & sushi but we have a much harder time finding good fish & chips back home. We definitely don’t regret our choice. The calamari appetizer and Fishermen’s platter was an awesome portion to share for two and we will definitely return next time we visit collingwood. Great customer service, clean and nice atmosphere.

You just have to stick with fish and chips. Just had a grilled fish. But it’s not the way I expected as grilled fish. The fish was wrapped in an aluminum foil.. with some white watery sauce on it. It’s says grilled fish Broiled Haddock.. it’s not even broiled. It has a fishy smell white colored fish wrapped in an aluminum foil. It’s awful 😢 when I tried it.. so I just my salad and throw my so called grilled fish , broiled haddock.
