A lot of fun, good food and service on my fist couple visits. Yet my last couple of visits weren’t as enjoyable. Especially my last. Which is too extensive to fully explain. Yet they had technical difficulties which I stepped up to fix and there were no real appreciations. I saved them a service call which could have cost hundreds. The days of true appreciation is gone.

Had wonderful New England Clam Chowder first, then a really good Smash Burger. It had 2 patties, and I ordered it with sautéed mushrooms and (real cheddar) cheese... both orders are so delicious!!! The waiter was from Ireland, and was a cutie, to boot.... My Mum had muscles (she got a lot), she said they were great, she and had a mushroom salad, it was huge! (tbh, it was good but it could've used a bit more/stronger of a taste, sorry/not sorry, just being honest). Really great place....and they were having live music later that night! It's a restaurant and a pub, with 2 or 3 tvs, too. Also my cousin and neighbour visited (they went together) and said it was awesome! Definitely worth checking out!

The servers who attended to us were really nice and welcoming.
We had clam chowder and oysters and were both great.
We are not from the city and we feel the prices were very reasonable for the quality that you receive.
Will be back for sure.

Who would have thought? Had wings here and they were the biggest and some of the tastiest I have ever had. Almost freakishly big lol. Only thing that wasn't was the bill 😉. They have a wing special every Wednesday and it's worth going. Happy hour features well priced apps and beer on tap. All the food was great. Will be back.

After a year of living in the area we finally made it out to the HSFB. Mixed reviews and no reservations kept us from stopping by prior to this, but glad we finally stopped in for dinner. Service was great, very attentive and friendly. Atmosphere was also okay, busy, a bit on the dark side lighting-wise, and no music playing as the band was setting up. Could have had a bit of music until they were ready to do sound checks. The menu was okay, I’d love to see one or two unbattered, fresh fish options on it though, as it is a fish bar after all. Food wise, the calamari was a bit small and heavily battered and a bit greasy. My husband’s halibut fish and chips were quite good, fries were also good, he was happy. The server offered to pan fry my halibut versus batter, which I appreciated but it was pretty boring, lacking seasoning, The coleslaw was laced with tarragon and a bit off-putting. I think they’d do better with mushy peas on the side, to be a bit different and play up the British fish and chips angle instead of the weird-tasting coleslaw. Overall, I liked the vibe and what they’re going for, I hope to come back another night a bit later so we can enjoy the band.

Went on a Sunday for lunch. Place was empty. Another couple arrived for drinks as we left. Food, shrimp and chips and fish and chips, were terrible unless you really like batter. Chips were old and very over cooked. Tartar sauce was extremely tiny and for another thimble cup there was an extra charge. Wine was ridiculously expensive so didn’t bother. Service was slow. One last comment! A middle aged woman came in asking to use the washroom. She was informed that the washroom was for patrons only. Although I can accept this as a policy in circumstances when it’s busy. There was no one in the place except us (2 people). They were unable to provide information on where she might be able to go!! Very unnecessarily inconsiderate!!

They have live music from local talent here most nights.
The food is good for the price. The soup is a little too thick, and the sauces don't really taste good, but fresh squeezed lemon juice works fine.
They open late too, so it's nice to have a different variety other than fast food after Blue Mountain closes.

We had to wait over 1 hour for the food to be served to our table. For the bill we had to ask twice. I won't go back for that poor service.
