Upon a great recommendation from a friend to try the chicken tarragon salad on a croissant, I was not disappointed! It was outstandingly delicious and worth every single penny. I'll be back for other delights!

My mom and I stopped in for a light lunch. We loved the cute Parisian cafe feel. Service was welcoming, friendly and attentive. However, the food left something to be desired. Though there is an “all day menu”, it’s only all day while supplies last. Meaning, it’s not made fresh to order. Furthermore, the $15 croissant with chicken was nothing special and mu mom’s salmon on pumpernickel was tiny. The cheesecake brownie we shared was gummy and and unpleasant. Furthermore, after leaving, both my mom and I have had an upset stomach, and we ate entirely different meals. Finally…the restrooms are unpleasant, disorderly and feel like a broom closet. I would not return and fail to understand the positive reviews apart from the very pleasant service and the decor.

My sister and I were in collingwood for the weekend and we stopped by yesterday and had an amazing visit. The guy who works there (with glasses and a beanie) was great and very helpful. He answered all our questions and made our drinks exactly how we wanted them. Unfortunately the second time we came, we were served by an older lady with short hair who tried to convince me that the way I wanted my drink made wouldn’t taste good, despite the fact that I had gotten this drink made that way the last time we visited (the day before). I wanted a dirty chai with a shot of caramel and was told that “chai’s are only made with vanilla”. We proceeded to keep asking it to be made how I wanted it (with caramel) and kept being told “I don’t think you’re going to like that”. At that point we decided to not get any drinks and only get baked goods. I have to say this cafe is great and the food is great but just this ONE lady makes me not want to go back into this cafe ever again. It’s one thing to make suggestions to help your customers get a drink they will like and enjoy, and I appreciate that, but when a customer hears your suggestion, says no, and asks for their original order, it’s rude to continue insisting they don’t know what they want or that their drink won’t taste good.
My son recently moved to Collingwood from Orillia so we were looking for a new go to place for butter tarts when visiting. I ordered 4 plain. I don’t like raisins in anything let alone butter tarts, and 3 out of 4 of the “plain” had raisins in them. Ruined it for me. Also found them a bit runnier than they should be. The apple almond cake was delicious but we’ll be going to Wilkie’s in Orillia next time.

Delicious food and drinks, unique desserts, and warm and friendly staff. Heavenly Cafe is a true gem!
My wife and I stopped by here for a late morning coffee and snack. I had the carrot cake, which was moist and flavourful. My wife had the baked almond croissant: very tasty. Our server took the time to answer all of our questions and explain the products to us. Overall a very pleasant experience.Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten free bread for the sandwiches and milk alternatives for the coffee.
