We were a party of 11 on a Saturday evening, and they graciously accommodated us even though we didn’t have a reservation. Food portions were huge for the price, and everything was delicous! Service was a bit slow but it was worth it 😊 10/10 would come again when in the area
The food tastes pretty good overall. However, if you are looking for authentic Vietnamese dishes, this is not for you. Unlike other Vietnamese restaurants, their pho does not come with the spices and sprouts.
The waitresses are friendly, but they are certainly in a shortage of staff. You ask for two sets of bowls and chopsticks, but they will only give you one. The waiting time is quite long, and your needs are seldom attended to.
Food is quite tasty, and reasonably authentic. Good variety of dishes. Clean and good service, friendly staff. Unfortunately the portion sizes have consistently gotten smaller, and has led us to visit other local restaurants a number of times.
Pros:
-Quite tasty
-Reasonably authentic for a small town
-Quick & good service
-Clean
-Good quality food
Cons:
-Portion sizes are smaller (takeout container is literally less than half full)
-Priced a little high for the portion size
One of my favourite restaurants in Collingwood! Very consistent! Their Pad Thai, Pho (104), chicken skewers, curry, and fried rices are all incredible! Nice vibe with the plants and the service is always really fast!
Food is very tasty. Loved the mango salad and curry chicken fried rice. Must try!!
I recently visited Pho Simcoe 2 with a party of eight, and while the food was quite good, the overall dining experience left much to be desired.
The standout issue was definitely the service and cleanliness. I was disappointed to find the bathroom in a rather dirty condition. Moreover, the waiter, who seemed to be the only one on duty, was wearing slippers while working—an unprofessional look that instantly lowered my expectations. With only one server handling the entire operation, it was obvious that when the restaurant got busy, the service quickly deteriorated.
Another area of concern was the lack of facilities for families. The restaurant does not provide a high chair for kids, which made dining with little ones challenging. Additionally, when we requested our seats be adjusted to better accommodate our group, our request was flatly denied. This rigid approach to customer service ultimately tainted what could have been an enjoyable meal.
In summary, while Pho Simcoe 2 offers delicious food, the management really needs to step up on several fronts—cleanliness, staff professionalism, and accommodating family needs—to truly impress their customers. Until then, I’m hesitant to return despite the tasty dishes.
Just came again second time and sure made a good choice. The portions are generous and the satay veggie soup was really good. My wife had the veggie pad Thai and it was second to only the pad Thais made by the Thai people. The servers are accommodating to our requests.
Best veggie eatery in Collingwood area for sure!
Delicious noodle dish choices. The spring rolls are bigger than usual. Service is attentive. Clean facility. Will come again!
My wife been experiencing menopause and got irritated easily. The young server was professional, patient and able to accommodate to her bad behavior. I felt extremely sorry. Re the foods, they are excellent! That’s why we are repeat customers.
Walked all the way from hotel in freezing weather, arrived around 8 (place closes at 9), waited for 10 minutes and was told that they don't serve anymore :(
Super flavourful and very generous portions! I ordered the Shrimp Noodle Pho for takeout, and really liked that the components (shrimp, noodles, veggies and broth) were all packaged separately to prevent from going soggy/over-cooked. I was easily able to get two meals out of one order of soup, so an excellent value for sure. Ordered the Vegetable Spring Rolls as well which were massive and seemed like they were made to order; really crispy and very fresh-tasting. Will absolutely be back!

Nice atmosphere and respectful service. Food was on point, too!
The booth is fair portion is good, but the beef in the pho is the worst i’ve ever had… super chewy even tho i ordered rare beef (the circular ones), when the soup came it was already fully cooked and even over cooked, from how chewy it is…
The server explained that they need a license to serve the beef rare so I understand why the beef have to be cooked when serving even tho its named rare. But they should still taste good, no?
Pretty good food. Small family style place.
I think they were short handed that night so service was quite slow. But quite pleasant still.
My favourite restaurant! Sometimes there’s a language barrier but the food is honestly so good, never had a disappointing meal yet!
As a big pho fan who has tried countless spots in Toronto, I was thrilled to find a place in Collingwood that truly hit the spot! The pho was flavorful, with a rich broth and perfectly cooked noodles—just what I was craving. Portions were great as well.
Beyond the pho, the attention to detail in the other dishes was a pleasant surprise. The Pad Thai came beautifully decorated, and the fried spring rolls were not only delicious but also presented in such a cute and thoughtful way. Unfortunately I was not able to take many photos because I was starving.
The effort put into both the food and presentation really stood out. I’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for great Vietnamese food outside the city. A hidden gem!
Note: their offered proteins are limited compared to other pho chains in the big city. Unless that is a deal breaker, everything else was great.
